Quick low angst omegaverse
[...]You won’t be able to put this down. I finished this so fast and turned around and reread it again.Briar is in trouble. When looking for help, there’s some confusion about why she’s there, but she just goes with the flow. Meeting Easton was a whole experience. He’s delightfully unhinged in the best way possible. Keir is just trying to wrangle Easton a bit without scaring Briar off and Calder? Well, he’s interested in Briar too but doesn’t want to end up getting taken out by Easton.Anything Jillian West writes goes on my automatic read list. This one was no different. When I tell you I immediately put down my current read for this, I’m not kidding. Easton has got to be my new favorite mmc. He knows what he wants, and he’s willing to do anything to get it. Calder and Keir were such great characters that do a good job balancing out Easton. That ending!!! It was so funny and cute. Like everything else, Briar got her way. Easton complained the most about it, but he showed he found a favorite too.

[...]I’ve avoided omegaverse. I haven’t liked it, being turned off by the dynamic you most often see. The blurb of this book pulled me in and I grabbed it on KU before knowing it was omegaverse. I read it anyway due 100% to the opening note that actually explained omegaverse and the author’s style. 5 stars for that alone. Omegaverse still isn’t my cup of tea, but I did enjoy this story. Easton never grew on me (maybe at the very end with Matilda), but I liked Briar, Calder and Keir.

The characters in the book do not want kids and that could be a trigger for some readers.I absolutely adored Calder and Keir, and was on the fence with Easton through the whole story. Mainly the accepting of becoming a pack. I just wanted to yell ‘sharing is caring’. I did love how through the whole story Easton kept calling her ‘his wife’. The whole story was well written and flowed smoothly. When I got to the end I was laughing so hard at the part with Matilda and Easton. I cannot wait for No Escape to be released! The little bit of Shaw that we got gives me the impression he is going to be hilarious. This man will stop at nothing to get his girl, and you better believe I ate it up. His POV chapters were always a fun time with where his thoughts would go. Kier is the definition to being soft for her and is an absolute teddy bear when it comes to Briar. He’s Briar’s safe space, and their dynamic was really beautiful. Calder is so incredibly sweet with Briar and is the kind of MMC that makes your heart go all gooey with how wholesome he is. Briar is such a strong and resilient FMC, and I loved seeing her become more confident after everything she’s been through.
