I loved loved Eli and jewel. The duo is with hot sizzling chemistry and I knew it was gonna be a banger because when Crüe monti and rya are your parents you can never lack charm. He’s hot, masochist, deadly, and most of all Eli’s a man who gets whatever he wants and he wants his stalker aka hit woman who he’s attracted to. Jewels sassy nature and her personality were so hot and lethal and Eli and jewel compliment each others personality perfectly 🥰🤌🏻🤌🏻. Loved how Crue and rya were involved in the book and I can’t wait for Dutton’s book 😌

[...]Vengeful Lies is the first book in the Vengeful Lies series, and it’s the next generation spinoff of the Lethal Vows series. The story follows Jewel, a contract assassin, who is being paid to toy with Eli, the heir to the Monti mafia empire, before killing him. However, he is not an easy target, and the cat and mouse games between these two had me fully engrossed right from the start.These two were both lethal and ruthless, and their love/hate dynamic was on point. They were the perfect match for each other. I couldn’t get enough of these them and loved seeing them fall for each other.The plot kept me turning the pages, and the banter was amusing. There were funny moments, tension, lots of spice, and a suspenseful element I absolutely. Add in the side characters who brought their own unique flair, and this story was one I couldn’t put down. This well-written tale was an excellent start to the series and was a highly entertaining tale. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I would definitely recommend this novel to mafia romance lovers.

Unlike her other assignments where it is a quick kill, her client would rather her engage a bit with her assignment so that she can bring down him and his “family”. Not really her thing, but she accepts still. But once Eli realizes that she is hired to kill him, he makes sure to keep her in his sights to see who is trying to kill him.Eli is hardened man who doesn’t see what having a wife (which his parents want him to have before taking over the “family”) would help him. Jewel has been hurt by her mother who doesn’t show that love is really there and vows never to go down that road. When these two become entangled with each other, the chemistry is right away there. Love the banter between the two.
