[...]It needs more weight in the rear. Second, like the other reviewer said, the pads on the bottom come off. Those pads should be either screwed on, because they make screw on pads or better adhesion. Sure they are 3M brand rubber feet but for those to adhere well to painted metal, the design has to be different.

Great Stand for Tablets
[...]I was looking for something to hold my iPad upright so I can read and take notes on it and this stand fits the bill perfectly. It is a solid piece of metal that securely holds my iPad and iPad Mini. There are nice rubber pads that hold the iPad in the stand and it provides just enough clearance on the bottom to fit the charging cable when in portrait mode. Also the rubber feet on the bottom keep stand from sliding around my desk even when pressing the home button or tapping the screen with one hand. This stand does exactly what I need it to do and I would highly recommend it.

I probably want to upgrade to a similarly made product that is adjustable. I see that your company makes some adjustable tablet stands of the same high quality construction, however the tablet stand that I purchased for $31 goes way up to ~$70+ for an adjustable model tablet stand. Your product quality is very good, but the huge gap in pricing makes your products at an unaffordable price. Keep up the excellent quality of products you offer, but try to bring your sales prices at a more reasonable cost for the consumer.

Holds iPad securely, heavy enough and with rubberized feet it doesn’t move around on the counter top when using the iPad touch screen. A channel cut out allows you to use a power cord without compromising the stability of the stand. This stand is actually designed for an iPad and is larger than most stands which are mostly designed for iPhones and say that they can also be used for iPads. The angle is not adjustable but that also adds to the stability of the stand and is fine for POS use. I highly recommend this stand.

buy this, not creaky plastic garbage
[...]smaller and sleeker than it looks online – this is a night-and-day improvement over most of the creaky cheap plastic tablet stands I’ve seen. this unit has no moving parts or hinges. it’s a single piece of metal with smart non-scratch pads on the contact points between the unit and a tablet. the grippy feet on the base of the stand are sticky and don’t allow the heavy stand to slide around on a lacquered table even while using the touchscreen on an iPad in the stand. with a low center of gravity and substantial heft, the unit seems it unlikely to tip over and an iPad air feels almost “bolted-in” while using it in the stand. unlike plastic stands I’ve tried, this stand feels more substantial than, and just as solid as, the tablet it’s meant to support. makes sense for a base, no?this stand is a far better choice than the hundreds of available tablet stands that look and feel like toys or gimmicky gadgets. this is an attractively understated and better-functioning alternative to imported plastic junk. well made in the USA.

A solid iPad stand that will last me a lifetime
[...]I have now bought two of these Thought Out Simplex iPad stands for my personal use which, for me, has also included the extra costs for shipping each order from the United States to our home in New Zealand. I have one of these stands at work and one at home, and I also gave a third stand to my 85 year old father (living in the United States) who absolutely loves using it with his iPad 9.7. I think that this is a truly excellent product with a simple, sleek, and surprisingly beautiful industrial design. The stand serves its purpose perfectly in providing a very sturdy platform for my iPad Pro 10.5 at just the right viewing angle. I often use this with a portable Logitech keys-to-go keyboard and find that the combination of iPad, Simplex Stand, and portable keyboard creates a great laptop-substitute work station for me. In that set-up, I especially like the fact that the keyboard is not attached to the screen and so it can be moved around, e.g. I can use the keyboard on my lap with the iPad placed on the Simplex stand on the coffee table. When people visit, the iPad sitting on its Simplex Stand always makes a real impression wherever it might happen to be placed at the time, e.g. on my desk or at the dining room table or on the kitchen counter or on the coffee table. While I haven’t yet taken this on a plane with me, I do find myself throwing it in the car to take with me wherever I might be travelling by car.

Another well-built product from Thought Out
[...]I purchased this product along with the Thought Out Stabile 2.0 iPad Stand as a stand that would support my iPad Pro 10.5 at a lower level but also be usable for an iPad mini4 in portrait mode. This stand does both, and does it well. Like the Stablie 2.0, the weight is substantial, the product well-built, and well-finished. No problem supporting either iPad [the mini4 has a full cover and the Pro a back cover only….both fit well in the lower supports of the stand and both are well-supported]. The base is wide and lends to the stability of the stand. The stand is not adjustable, but tilting is an option if you want to make an occasional slight adjustment. Though it’s likely not an intended use, for the mini I can tilt the entire stand forward so that the lower iPad supports rest on the table….in this configuration, the iPad mini is nearly vertical but with a slight backward angle (so it’s not going to fall forward)….I don’t think I’ll be as brave with the iPad Pro, but I also don’t see a reason why I would want to ever do this. Bottom line is this is a very well-built and functional product, well worth the price.
