Hidden behind a mask at a charity ball, I let an unknown older man have me.
He left me with more than just breathless memories—a secret I can never tell.
Five years later, I’m a single mom, writing a piece on Atlanta Fire’s legendary coach.
He’s a silver fox. Tempting, commanding, intent on using his sexy authority… on me.
We should keep our distance.
I’m his player’s younger sister, and he’s decades off-limits.
And then I see it.
The birthmark on his shoulder.
The same one I saw on my masked lover five years ago.
He has no idea he’s a father. And I plan to keep it that way.
But when he starts piecing the clues together, one thing becomes terrifyingly clear—
If this secret gets out, it could cost us everything.
And for my daughter—and my heart—I can’t afford to puck this up.
This is Coach’s story, book 3 in the Pucking Daddies series. It can be read as a standalone and has a HEA!

I absolutely love it !!
[...]Megan and Cassie were pure magic. Their chemistry jumped off the page. Their one night stand was hot! Winnie was so darling and Cassie was thrilled the first time he met her. I loved the team and all the players especially Nico the perfect overprotective big brother. This was the first book I read in this series and I understood everything that was going on. Mia Mara is a very talented author and I was so happy to find this book. I can’t wait to read more books in this fun Hockey series. I highly recommend this book!! Ten stars good!

OMG, I cried
[...]This heartfelt love story that came full circle touched me to tears. It was a difficult road for everyone, but the ending was worth all the pain. Great read 📚

Cute and quick story.
[...]Cute story of love. Everything was so tense and emotionally charged. I understand the need for tension and wanting to wrap your head around this life changing event but I dropped a star because during all of his thinking Casey never tried to see or speak to Winnie even while talking about how he was happy to be a father. That contradiction was very hard for me to swallow. And OMG the way the “rumor” was discovered/spread through the team with NO ONE coming to talk to him was infuriating. That person is part of the Organization and frankly should’ve been adult enough to ask questions instead of just running their mouth. Especially with what he overheard having NO way of it making it sound like Casey knew about sweet Winnie before that conversation!!I’m so ready for a Nico and Megan story!

Secret Play
[...]Terrific romance with fun hockey rolled in. Once you start this story you will not be able to put it down. Gemma and Casey were destined to find each other even after five years. It takes a cast of characters to make this story so special but it’s well worth the time. Loved it!!

good
[...]The beginning and middle had a good interesting story line. Then it was almost like they didn’t have anything to work with for the end of the book. Still a decent read.

❤️❤️❤️
[...]Loved this book so much! Different twist with the coach being the MM instead of the player. The storyline was was good but I couldn’t quit asking “how could she have found him if they didn’t know each others faces or names!!

Silver Fox Age Gap
[...]Five years ago Gemma attended a masquerade gala with her NHL brother. That night she has a one night stand with someone, they don’t tell their names and keep their masks on. Gemma notices a birthmark on him that looks like Italy. After their mystery night together Gemma soon moves to California where she discovers she is pregnant. After 5 years, she decides to move back to Atlanta to be near family so she doesn’t have to do the single parent thing alone any longer. As a sports writer, Gemma is asked to do a “puff” piece on Casey, coach of her brother’s hockey team. The interview goes well and there is a spark even though there is a 19 yr age gap. After a night of falling asleep on the couch, Gemma realizes Casey is her daughter’s father. Casey doesn’t tell him right away and as usual, secrets have a way of coming out. How will everything work out with the team, Gemma’s brother and the fans with all the gossip. The book was good, it started fast and I always like a silver fox. I just wish Gemma would have come clean without being pushed into telling the truth. Glad for the strong friendship Casey had and look forward to the next book in the series.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Loved This Book
[...]Great storyline about Gemma, a young journalist on her way to a new job in a new city who has a one night stand with a mystery man at a masquerade ball she attended with her hockey player brother. Fast forward five years, and she’s returning from LA with her little daughter, Winnie, the product of that one night stand where no names or numbers were exchanged. She gets an assignment to interview her brother, his team members and his coach, Casey to help renew interest in the hometown hockey team. Things get complicated when she discovers that her brother’s coach bears the birth mark of her baby daddy and she withholds that info from Casey and her brother Nico, while she carries on a secretly with the coach, a direct violation of his contract. Will he forgive Gemma for hiding his daughter from him, and will he lose his job, as well as lose the respect of Nico, the rest of the players and the public when it comes to light that he has an illegitimate child with a player’s sister? There is plenty of steamy chemistry between the fmc and the mmc, despite their age difference but so much angst between the two that nearly overwhelms the storyline, and can the author pull out a HEA for this couple and their adoring little girl?
