The Other Brother – London Hearts Series: Book One
All I ever wanted was a love like my parents had—something deep, irrevocable, and all-consuming. The kind of love that’s written about in stories. And I thought I found it with Lucas, my fiancé. We had it all: the house, the cat, and the promise of a future full of possibilities.
Until everything fell apart.
I discovered his secret. Heartbroken and betrayed, I convinced myself that I’d never find anything like what Lucas and I shared. He was my everything.
Then one night, I ran into his younger brother, James.
He’s a musician—complicated, intense, and nothing like Lucas. And yet, I can’t deny the pull I feel toward him. I’m drawn to him in ways I cannot explain. Opening my heart to someone so close to the man who shattered it feels ridiculous. But it’s undeniable, and I can’t resist. Trying to stay away only makes it worse.
I want him.
I’m falling for the one person I shouldn’t.
I’m falling for the other brother.

The writing captured me straight away. The description of the scenes of London, the build up of the characters . But mostly the emotions of the characters! I went right along with them through every twist and turn. Will be reading again and highly recommend, perfect level of tension, romance and spice for this girl!

I find this book a little boring. It’s not a big story; nothing emotional happens… just plain. The characters are well-designed and characterized, but some significant plots are overpassed.

Ugh! Where do I even begin!? This book had everything! The heartbreak, the forbidden love, the sexual tension, the sweet, the spicy, it was just *chef’s kiss*. The growth these characters go through of finding themselves and allowing themselves to love again is too good!Eagerly anticipating Tierney’s next book!

Nor bad for a first book.
[...]The epilogue and ending was disappointing. Didn’t really seem like an ending. I only read this book because I follow the author on Instagram and every single book she recommends is amazing so I expected nothing less. The spice in this book was good because look who’s the author. I really appreciate that. I didn’t expect the cat 🐈 to play such an amazing part in the book, but I love the freaking cat 😂 I wish Lucas and his brother had a real show down instead of mean mugging each other. I wonder what happened to Lucas in the end. I didn’t care for the dialogue with her friends, but I loved the dialogue with James friends. His parents are awesome, I absolutely loved the parents. Author did a good job for a first book.

Beautiful, Witty & Captivating
[...]I read this in a day because I couldn’t put it down! Tierney created the most beautiful & lovable characters (from the FMC & MMC to the supporting ones) in this book. Her story telling is so engaging & her voice is present throughout the entire book. I wish the book was longer just so I could keep reading about these amazing characters! The plot was well thought out & executed nicely. The build up between the characters was palpable & the spice was SPICING!!! I can’t wait to read more of Tierney’s books! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Loved it!
[...]I loved this book. Really good back stories, awesome women friendships, and a swoon worth male main character who is now my new book boyfriend! If you’re looking for something spicy and heartwarming, I would definitely put this on your to be read list. I’m super excited for the next book in the series.

Beautiful!
[...]James and April were so amazing and I really liked this book. For a debut novel, it was very well written and had a great plot and spice. I also really liked that the characters weren’t super young and they had great communication. Can I please have a James in my life cause he was so caring and sweet! ❤️

A Great Debut!
[...]I came into this book with great hope that it would be a fantastic read and Tierney did not disappoint. It was a beautiful story that showcased importance of self love and mental health, with an amazing group of friends that supported the both the MCs.It was perfect amount of story and spice. All of my favorite tropes and it was a quick read. The side characters played in so well I was invested in everyone! Even Basil 😆💩Had some really funny parts that had me in stitches that helped break up some of the more serious parts. “One toy to rule them all” was one of my favorites that had me laughing so hard. Was beautifully written and can not wait to read the rest of the series as it comes out.Great work Tierney!

it was ok
[...]I have been following Tierney for quite some time and was excited to get my hands on her first book. The character development needs a bit more refinement and definitely more depth. There were details for minuscule things such as what makeup she was putting on or ‘I opened the drawer grabbed a pen grabbing cover with my teeth and spit it out’, that didn’t need it and should have been added to the character development instead. So the focus and details were on the wrong things. This was a really slow burn as well. But I did like the tension. Although I wish the FMC didn’t focus so much on caring what Lucas thought. Also the the quite a few month jumps didn’t do much for developing the story. It was decent on the spice. Spice level was at 2.75-3. Dual POV and I like that there was no 3rd act break up. I also wish that Gemma and Anna had more depth to them. Gemma was very surface level and she pretty much only discussed her weird dates and sex. They were a bit ott on the weirdness scale. Given that this is Tierneys first book I’m hopeful that she takes notes and improves going forward. Also I hope she gets an editor. Had some weird mistakes. Not too many but simple ones that could’ve been picked up by the editor. Overall not bad for a first book

🔥 Debut novel
[...]⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️Tropes:* Musician romance* Ex’s brother* Forbidden Love* Found FamilyThis was such a great debut novel. I always trust a Tierney book review and I consistently go to her videos for my next read. So when I saw she was releasing her own book I knew straight away it was going to be an absolute Banger. Tierney’s writing had me out loud cackling multiple times throughout the book. The characters were all amazing and the banter was top notch. April really goes through the wringer when her relationship with Lucas ends and you get to see her build herself back up. April’s best friends Anna and Gemma were such amazing side characters and the epitome of girlhood. I love the ex’s brother trope and this one was done so well. James is the dark and moody musician who had a rough exterior but is actually the most caring and loving. He shows April the way she deserves to be treated. The romance was definitely a slow burn and I loved seeing the relationship build between April and James. The spicy scenes were so hot 🔥. I can’t wait to see her next book come out!

What a debut!
[...]When my absolute favorite book reviewer/book recommender dropped the news that she was releasing her debut novel, you better believe I “ran” to amazon for all the details! I set an alarm for midnight on January 15th and it was downloaded to my Kindle by 12:05am!By 12:05 am on January 16th, this spicy, hilarious romance was devoured! I loved every second of it and I knew that the spice would be spicing, but what I was so impressed with was the entertaining plot and character development! Tierney’s fantastic sense of humor, which drew me to her book reviews in the first place, was perfectly sprinkled throughout. Each character had a wonderful personality and voice, which I can see will help to make this an interconnected series with ease! As someone who has dealt with loss/grief, I really appreciated the backstory of that journey for our FMC in shaping her story and growth. For this to be a debut, first time novel release, I am just blown away with Tierney’s obvious writing ability and I cannot wait to see where she takes this series and anymore that might be brewing in her saucy little mind! In the words of the woman herself, “Banger! Happy Reading!”
