Love love love this book! Michelle’s writing has improved so much. I very much liked that she changed things up and we now not only have the Italian and Russian mafia world.Dominik is a very affectionate, caring and loving man (only towards his wife). I especially liked that he treated Grace with patience after learning about her trauma. Ciara should’ve been more grateful for her sister and could’ve showed her some more respect, although I have a feeling she will return in one of the upcoming books. Really liked Grace’s fierce and sassy side, and that she didn’t back down and fought for respect and her sister’s freedom.The Island is reminding me of St. Monarch’s (The Saints series by Michelle Heard). I appreciate Michelle writing about the forming of the alliance and them building a resort at the Island. Although it reminded me a tiny bit of “The Saints” and “Sinners”, I know this series will be different. A great Mafia series to lookout for!

Everything she writes is captivating.Dominik and grace becomes my top favorite hero and heroine of all time. Grace is such though heroine. A fresh take from whinny younger fmc which i hate the most. And Dominik, Dominik!!! Everuthing you wan in a hero, dominik posses. This book has everything. Romance, action, banters, love story. I just love it. I came across of it and decided to preorder it. And I couldn’t be happier. What a great start for a new series. I’m definitely gonna be following this series till the end.Don’t hesitate to read it!

First- I knew NOTHING about this book, literally not a single thing, but I saw the cover reveal and I was immediately hooked, added to TBR and downloaded the minute it was released.Grace, the FMC, is strong and sassy. She was in a previous abusive arranged marriage which she entered in order to allow her sister to marry for love. Now their father is trying to force the sister (Ciara) into an arranged marriage and Grace is NOT having that.Dominik, the MMC, the Hermit. I love him. Dominik pretty immediately refuses to marry Ciara and demands Grace instead. He is down bad for her, will burn the world for her. He has never wanted anyone before but he wants Grace, SWOON.Its not often that you see a slow burn in a mafia romance but it was PERFECTION in this book. Grace was broken by her previous marriage and Dominik is so freaking sweet and just takes his time and lets Grace lead. When they finally do get together, fireworks.Also, the set up for the rest of the series- so good. Santiago was the BEST comedic relief and I can’t wait to see more of him.

[...]I absolutely and completely loved this book. It is the first book I’ve read from this author, and I am definitely going to read her other books. This hit all the emotions and the all the warm and fuzzies.What I have found to be missing in most mafia books is that the MMC is too much of a brute or not as badass as the author tries to make them out to be. Dominik, on the other hand, was the perfect MMC… he was ruthless, dangerous, loving, and possessive, all in perfect harmony. Grace could have been a little more badass because she started out strong, but the author didn’t quite get her there for me, but it didn’t matter. She did overcome some things that most people wouldn’t be able to, but the author didn’t let her shine more, which was a shame. The story was great, though don’t get me wrong.Also, I loved that the author didn’t just wrap up the book in one epilogue. Nope, she continued with their HEA, which was a total bonus for me. I can’t tell you how many times authors spend all this time explaining every single minute detail, and then when the MC’s get together, it’s over before the HEA began.So, kudos to this author… I’m gonna look for my next read from this author asap!

Once he demands a huge payment from Grace’s father for a job he’s completed things spiral out of control quickly. Dominik is a straight talker and I liked that about him.The slow-burn romance aspect is beautifully executed with quite surprising results. The suspense element is action-filled and full of drama—bring it on. I read this book in one afternoon and simply devoured it because it was that good.

This is 1 of my favorite books that I’ve read recently. I read a lot of Michelle Heard’s books And this is the beginning of another great series. Can’t wait for Cassie story. There are so many ways to continue from this 1 book With a lot of great characters. Hope it comes out soon!
