A Good Learning Tool
[...]Overall, I liked the book. As stated in the preface, some activities are very simple, and others are more advanced requiring an adult to assist in helping the child complete the tasks. I do wonder about the way the book is laid out and how much sense it makes. For example, pages 41-46 are on sight words. That section came right before the section on tracing letters. That seems backward to me. On page 96 under the section about emotions, I was surprised to see the words rich, silent, and cool as options to select as emotions. The illustrations are generally good but I found myself wondering what some of the illustrations were trying to depict. For example, on page 148 under the section on hygiene, it was hard to determine what the person in the illustration was doing. Again, overall I think it is a good learning tool. There were just some parts of the book that didn’t make sense to me.
