Audrey Adams –
Very nice!
[...]I’m a Trader Joe’s fan and the book was interesting!!
Rena Anderson Sokolow –
A “hidden gem,” indeed!
[...]I stumbled upon this on Amazon and bought it for my family gift swap — intriguing concept, beautiful cover, widespread appeal to my fellow swappers, and reasonably priced.By a happy accident, I ended up with this book in the gift swap. The art is presented beautifully and carefully, making it a joy to flip through, but I was also blown away by the amount of detail packed into the descriptions. Don’t underestimate this as “just another coffee-table book” — see it for yourself!
Perfect Gift –
The perfect holiday gift! A jewel of a book.
[...]I adore this book! In fact, I have purchased 18 of them to give us holiday gifts this year. It’s the ideal gift for anyone who cares about food, art, or just getting enjoyment and delight out of the little things in life. And it’s particularly fun for friends who go to Trader Joe’s. It’s really a life affirming jewel of a book.Friends constantly read the first copy I ordered, which is on our coffee table. I realised, then, how fantastic the book is to share with others. You are in for a treat!A quick update. I just received this lovely note from one of the lucky recipients:The Trader Joe’s book is a hoot! Really clever. I am reading it now. It is written from the perspective of an academic art historian. The author is impressive. I may try some new products at Trader Joe’s.Thank you for the thoughtful gift!
Amazon Customer –
Such a cool book!
[...]This book is amazing. The level of detail is unbelievable. Very few coffee table books are both beautiful and interesting & readable – this is all of the above.I was lucky enough to live in East Village for a while and shop at the store adorned with Peter Arkle’s drawings (pg. 96 of this book!), and that gave me a new appreciation for TJ’s art, but this book took it to a new level. Highly recommend as a gift for any TJs lovers in your life

Now I know, what I didn’t know that I didn’t know.
[...]Okay, so if you’re a Trader Joe’s fan like me, you need to check out this book. I’ve always loved the quirky signs and fun product labels that make the store feel kind of like a treasure hunt. I bought this book as soon as I say it. It dives deep into the art behind all that stuff. What’s cool is that it’s not just a bunch of pictures. It actually breaks down where all the artwork came from. I never really thought much about the design behind the labels or the signs, but now I can’t unsee it. It’s so cool. All the TJs art has a story. Learning about the artists gave me a bit more appreciation for the little touches around the store that make Trader Joe’s, Trader Joe’s! It’s a feel-good book, a story book, and a history book wrapped up in one. I have a newly found awareness now when I shop in the store. I realize how these designs are such a big part of why people love shopping there. So glad I bought it!

Christmas gift for any book club
[...]Trader Joe’s has always been my go to store when I host my book club. This book goes beyond the products and shows the true thought that goes into the product design, the signs and every detail of artistic influence throughout the store. The products I have loved for years are tied to historic art work. This book allows food and art lovers the ability to connect art and food in a unique way, A great gift for book club hostess gifts or even as your next discussion. Wrap the book in a Trader Joe’s bag and bring your host a piece of the art of Trader Joe’s. Great book, well thought out and I have a new appreciation for Trader Joe’s!

very informative and great photography
[...]the author went to great lengths to make sure the information printed was accurate. The photos were unusually colorful and well thought out. The author did so much homework and studied the subject matter that I had to read it twice. it was very descriptive and so interesting to read. It is truly amazing what Trader Joes displays. After reading the book, and going into a Trader Joes, I feel like I was in a museum and the art comes alive.Great book. Will order more for holiday gifts. So much fun and so much history.
