The fact that you could use it as a sponge as well as a scrubber.They work well getting the food, off the plate or pot without scratching. They are also able to be put into the dishwasher which will increase the life of the sponge.A bonus is my kitchen is blue so these match . Not that it really matters but it looks pretty !
