Good so far
[...]I purchased this for a specific job which I will use once or twice a week for 30mins or so of use so I am unable to give info on battery life and or quality of product. I did listen to the reviews and found mine didn’t come with the case as pictured and so its a good thing I purchased a case along with it. Since the WIFI version wasn’t available during my purchase I only need to deal with it showing ‘No SIM’ at the top hot bar when in use, its funny because the next day a WIFI version became available. lol

Overall good
[...]Overall this is good quality and working well right now. Like everybody the has said this did not come with the case or the s pen as pictured. I even tried a higher rated seller who sent an s pen that looks to be for a phone but not the one for the tablet. This also didn’t have the case included but mine had a screen protector on it and a charger sent with it.

Perfect on the go tablet
[...]Even though this tablet is “out of date” it’s still more than adequate for everyday activities. There isn’t a ton of storage but you can add an SD card and fix that pretty quick. The spen is awesome and the fact that the case and pen are included makes this an absolute steal. I’d definitely recommend this over some cheap budget android tablet since it’s got premium features, waterproofing, and a pen included, all for under $100.

Not as advertised
[...]Buyer bewareGot the renewed version to save a couple bucks as this is limited use tablet and it was definitely not as advertised. Tablet is clean, but listing clearly shows it with a rugged case/body that it did not have and did not come with genuine samsung accessories. The wall plug is 3rd party but so was the included pen. The pen is exceptionally cheap, despite the fact that when it fell apart after 30 secs of inspection there was an old Samsung note pen stuck inside of it. Disappointing to have to buy a $20 pen and case on top after trying to save some money. If it doesn’t have original parts or match the advertised display images/description then it should say that.

Good tablet, case as depicted is missing. Charger does not function – UPDATE One more UPDATE
[...]All of the below still applies but beware that this tablet does not support phone calling. There is no app except a system app which you can’t access. Also, you can’t download another dialer as none will work and many will not install with a “permission denied” notice right from the Google Play Store. Here is what is going on: It appears all of these refurbished tablets are from companies upgrading their hardware and selling these off. While they are mostly functional there are some features that do not function for individual use unless connected to the original owner’s network even though you are listed as the “Administrator” in settings/accounts. There is nothing you can do about it. During the refurbishing, the original “business” security policies were never reset to the basic configuration, the tablet remains a business only tablet and while the security benefits are quite good, that also prevents you from installing certain apps even if you enable “developer” options.Apps that require access to certain hardware or via USB access is typically not available. While the USB can be used to charge, connect to a computer etc, you can’t plug in an external camera or anything like that, the apps will not install from the Play Store. The next thing to be aware of is that this tablet originally shipped with Android version 7.1.1 and the one you get has Android 9. This is a 2 edged sword because while you get the later versions system features, the Play Store reads the configuration and will not take kindly to the configuration. For example: You can’t update or add the Google phone dialer app so even though you have a full data and voice SIM, the voice and dialer will not function and in fact, the system Dialer/Phone app is hidden and nothing you can do will make it available to you. These are things not disclosed in the description nor in the explanation of what refurbished means. For the price, it’s an okay tablet if you need the SIM capability only for data and perhaps a VOIP app.I do note that the tablet will work with AT&T and also Google FI.You can use Google Voice and forward you SIM phone number to that and so make calls that way but many businesses will not accept phone numbers that use Google Voice. For the price, it is still a good value so long as you know what to expect. This is not a consumer level tablet that just got refurbished and sent out with the typical Android system that lets you do most anything you want, it is the “Enterprise” version that was simply data wiped and that is what you get. Since the tablet was original configured using special system tools you can’t change any of that. All the above and below said, this tablet will do 95% of what you want without a hitch. If you want to use this tablet to make calls even with the proper SIM it will not. You must use a VOIP app like Google Voice to do that.I buy the products I review for my personal use and share my experience to help others. I do not accept free stuff hanging from the vines of free things for reviews. That way you know there is no bias or “arrangement” for my reviews.I own lots of tablets, many old and no longer able to be updated and many newer, some current production. I’ve always liked the Samsung Tab Active tablets as well as their “NOTE” series phones that use a stylus. The Samsung Tab Active tablets have never failed me and I am not talking about using them in a living room but rather in trucks, mounted on motorcycles, in the workshop to display service manuals, tossed into center consoles and glove boxes, bounced around in saddle bags and top cases and mounted to handlebars on bikes that have traveled many thousands on miles over lots of years.I bought this one to replace a Tab Active (original) that was WiFi only and pretty dated. That was over 7 years ago and it still works like new. One of the reasons it’s held up so well is because Samsung figured out to make a lightweight but rugged case that offers really good protection. I chose the LTE model since I use FI chips that let me share data on one account. It’s perfect to provide data connection for GPS mapping even if they can work off-line. Once the maps are updated (OSMAND) the app uses very little data so having up to the minute search accuracy is great. The tablet arrived on the date promised and in excellent condition, EXCEPT—-no case and the charger doesn’t work. Ok, things happen with chargers, produced by the millions and I didn’t expect a top tier charger anyway. I’ll eat that but a missing case is a big deal because it’s part and parcel to the idea of a semi-rugged tablet. I read the reviews and before ordering noticed several other customers didn’t get cases but figured surely after more than a few such instances the problem would be fixed. Nope. The tablet itself is excellent, has a decent battery, good stylus and packaged securely. It starts right up and updated itself to December 2022 which is a little behind the times but then it is not a current production model. With careful configuration and being aware of typical security issues you can use it for things besides critical takes like financials or anything where you need absolutely the latest security updates. The tablet is pretty quick and consider that its a business tablet not some gaming tablet where heavy graphics and computational work is being done. The display is clear and responsive and refreshes quick enough for navigation, browsing, watching videos if you are into that on tablets and with the benefits of split screen functionality and other little features Samsung fits in, its a great tablet at a decent price. There are no dead pixels, no scratches so it looks really good and the size is such that it can fit into a inside the chest jack pocket really nice. That means it carries well and you don’t look like you’re carrying around a sheet of plywood in your pocket. The weight is tolerable and easy to hold even for extended times. The WiFi is fast and good enough for any task. The Bluetooth connects quickly and has range that meets what the spec says. Then there is the stylus. The first gen has that pencil eraser type stulus but the 2nd Gen gets the S-Pen. Its very accurate and the Samsung Notes app is simply wonderful to use. It can read, store and edit PDF files and it’s easily one of the best features Samsung includes on its Tab Active models. I also use the Tab Active Pro with a 10″ display and it’s nice to be able to share the note files back and forth and have them appear the same, albeit smaller, on all the Tab Active tablets.UPDATE: Amazon fixed the problem. So I upped my review to 4 stars. 1 below 5 because it was Amazon that fixed the problem and not the seller.TIP: If you are going to use the tablet in a car or other vehicle, do yourself a favor and get he RAM mount designed specifically for this tablet. That mount will also hold the Tab Active 3 and 5 Enterprise models so if you eventually upgrade you won’t need to buy a new mount. The RAM mounts auto-charge the tablet. There are two versions, the USB 2 and the USB C. The RAM mounts are virtually indestructible. They are sold on Amazon. I bought one for the Tab Active Pro and it just works.

Excellent condition!
[...]I was concerned with previous comments about this listing but when I got my device It was in excellent conditions, clean, no scratches, new charger and cable, missing Case with S-Pen but the device itself is in excellent conditions, no issues during configuration and setup. Will buy a new case and S-pen later.

Inaccurate Description – NO CASE OR STYLUS
[...]The tablet that came was in good condition and working fine. As other reviews mentioned they ship many of these without the case or stylus. For my use, I need the case for the tablet to properly fit into a vehicle mount and it will not work without the case. I may order another one to try and get it as described but if you don’t want to have to order multiple units to get the item you are expecting, I would avoid this one.

Nice Tablet
[...]I got the tablet with a pen and a charger, but there wasn’t a slot for the pen. I guess that’s with the case sold separately… I would also recommend getting a micro SD card as the storage of 16gb isn’t a whole lot of space. I already have one, so that’s not a problem for me. The pen comes with replacement nibs and a tool, so that’s cool. The camera on the back takes decent pictures so that’s pretty nice. All in all, I mainly got it cuz I drop things easily, needed a tablet, and have a limited budget..:) It serves all the purposes I got it for, so I am satisfied and keeping it. Hope this review helps you decide if it’s one that would work for you.
