[...]Honest review – not paid, nothing free or discounted.We don’t tend to get mono-taskers, and I prefer to use a thing until it breaks… I saw a video of this apple slicer, and put it on my wish list. But apple slicers don’t tend to break, so this waited on my wish list for about two years before I gave in and bought it.I WASTED TWO YEARS!!! I should have gotten it much sooner!Pro tip – In the video that I saw, it said to turn the apple upside down to slice – it seems to give better control so that the core is actually in the right spot!Love this apple peeler! I could never get the apple slices all the way out before. That extra piece just pops them out! Easy!Would definitely recommend!

[...]Love this thing. So easy to use that it honestly increases our household apple consumption. The bottom gray piece makes it super easy to pop the slices out. It makes thinner apple slices which are perfect for a toddler and I actually prefer them too. I bought one in 2022 and used it regularly, including putting it through the dishwasher several times a week, until it developed a crack and I replaced it in 2025. I thought that was a pretty decent lifespan for what it is and for how much we used it. I’m sure it would have lasted longer if I kept it out of the dishwasher.

The thin slices produced can easily be used in a rustic skillet apple pie…even with the skin on. (Pie tip: cook your apple slices before putting them in the pie dough. This pre-shrinks the apples and results in less moisture going into your pie dough😁)As for the negative reviews I’ve read:1. Hard to cut apple? There are a lot of blades that have to be pressed down through a hard bodied fruit…it’s NOT going to be like cutting butter with a hot knife.2. Hard to clean? I use a kitchen brush with handle under running water and it cleans just fine.Me, I’m quite happy with it & would buy it again.

Great apple corer & slicing gadget!
[...]There’s no need to shop an expensive culinary gadget store to buy a high-performing, inexpensive, efficient and easy-to-use kitchen tool to core & slice apples. This apple corer/slicer gets the job done with no trouble at all. It’s well-built, yet small enough to not take up much room in one of your kitchen drawers or cabinet. You can even throw it in the dishwasher but it’s easy to just rinse, dry and put away after use. Once again, great tool — definitely recommend. .

[...]I love this apple slicer. It’s pretty sharp so the slices are clean and nice and I love that they’re skinnier pieces than a regular slicer. I also like the bottom piece that helps push the slices all the way through which makes getting them out much easier without wasting apple pieces. The only thing is that it can be a bit hard pushing it through the apple at first.

[...]OK so first of all, this is a great apple slicer, esp since the slices are thin, makes for an easy nosh.It’s plenty sharp and so far the sharp has held up.Now the funny part is all the 1-star reviews saying “it doesn’t work!” Obviously these are people who didn’t look at the pix or the videos and aren’t using it correctly. You CANNOT squeeze an apple between the bottom plate and the cutter. You’d have to have a pretty small apple in the first place, and the blades need to face downward so cutting on that angle would be tough. So silly:you open it up, get the bottom piece out of the way. Put it on top of the apple, centered on the core. Press down (yes it takes a little effort, put your weight behind it if you need to, but it’s sharp enough it will go through the apple-most of the way). Then you flip the bottom part around underneath the apple and finish pushing through – that bottom part is what makes the apple slices finish and separate. throw out the core and you’be got 16 slices of apple.Clean up is easy – dishwasher safe or just a brush in the sink. just be careful, it’s sharp.it seems like it would work on other things – several people say it’s good for onions, making a ‘bloom.” i am going to try pears – not super hard ones of course. might work on oranges and other citrus, but probably messy and the core part would make it worse. but anything that’s similar in density as an apple an has a core should work.for the price it’s a no brainer, if you like apples you will eat more of them.

Push down, Slice, fold, push down slices release, simple!
[...]Really nice thin slices, cuts easily, fold and finish, pushes all slices and core out, quickly and easily… no struggle. Easily rinses, dishwasher safe. We buy a bag of apples and put them in a bowl with the slicer, use the silcer and rinse all ready for the next apple, put it back into the apple bowl. (We wash between bags in the dishwasher) Family eats apples whenever they want, try the “Honey Crisp” our favorite! Great slice, nice price. Holds up well.
