I can’t tell if we’re fighting…or flirting?
Being traded to the Seattle Vipers has left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, they’re my team, the team I’ve loved and supported since I was a kid, but on the other hand, he’s here. Him. Ant Decker. Infamous NHL bad boy. Right wing to my left. A man who’s made it his sole purpose in life to be better than me.
Well, the joke’s on him, because I’m faster, and my stats are better than his.
Not that I’m competing with him. Of course not. I wouldn’t stoop to his level.
He’s the most infuriating person I’ve ever met. A dark, chaotic presence that distracts me.
When we’re not coming to blows on the ice, he tries to provoke me by calling me Princess. And Pretty Boy…and Babygirl.
I hate it. Obviously, I do. It makes me so angry I can hardly see straight.
So why does my body react as if I like it?

THIS. STORY! What an incredibly fabulous time I had reading it!! Robbie and Ant are EVERYTHING!Though the media has had them as rivals for years, Robbie doesn’t think they really are.. until he is traded to the same team as Ant and they come to blows – literally. Ant calls him Princess and Babygirl to get him riled up but that backfires when their coach decides they need to start rooming together until they sort their shiz out.But the two sort things out in a way neither of them expected – with BJs.. whoops 🤭Robbie is so sassy, it’s amazing. He doesn’t let Ant have his way at all, even when Ant thinks he’s in control. They explore more and more physically with each other, Robbie having never actually been with a man before doesn’t deter him in the least. The spice was spicing and the characters had such lovely development and it was just such an enjoyable time! I highlighted so much in this book it’s outrageous! Haha~~~“I bet you… a thousand dollars that you’ll stuff your cxck in my mouth again the first chance you get.”“I bet you ten thousand dollars I won’t.”Long story short, I owe Robbie McGuire ten thousand dollars.~~~🏒MM Romance🏒Hockey!🏒Rivals to Lovers🏒Feminine Pet Names🏒HEA

It was so so good, after a very long time I found a sport book which has sports as well as mushy and lovey dovey parts in it not only mindless … Scenes, it was perfect, I loved , loved and loved Decker, don’t mind me, I loved Robbie as well but Decker is such a baby bear…oh my god, and their banter was good too and the “talk”…guys believe me when I say this I have read a lot of Romances and I know if you don’t write “the talk” good enough, it starts feeling forced but jesse has written it so beautifully it touched the level of Alessandra hazard and guys trust me that’s a biggest compliment I can give someone when it comes to MM Romances…. would love to read a novella or even a full book if possible on Bodie and Beth too..🤌❤️

Fresh take on the hockey trope. I loved the chemistry between the characters and how positivity led to great outcomes. This novel has a lot of heat 😍

OK, so I really liked this book, worth all the hype it’s getting on TikTok. Ant and Robbie have chemistry of the charts and the spice is really spicing in this story. I had fun reading this book, especially the transition of them being rivals at first due to Anthony’s one-sided animosity to be becoming lovers and falling for each other. it was interesting to see how supportive their teammates were and I really want to hope that in reality it would be the case even though it’s fat just a tiny bit unbelievable especially the part where the guys are the guys were shipping them together. Also the girl who was practically stalking Robbie just got away with basically outing them. I understand that usually this is the case, but this seemed like a bit of a plot hole to me even though I’m pretty sure it was intentional because she was just a plot point that lit the match. Yet these days, people get canceled for less but it was simply let go.Anyway I really really enjoyed this book. Did not devour it, I needed four days to finish. It’s partly because I’m sick but partly because sometimes the spice got just a tiny bit too much for me because it took away from the plot.Yeah, I’m giving this a solid 4 1/2 stars and four chili peppers.

I don’t write here usually, I only qualify them, but this book is so so so great, so soft, so real, it makes you feel so bad and so good… and so hot too! I recommend it very strongly and I won’t say more because I don’t want to spoil it ;)

4.5 Stars
[...]This book can only be described as adorable. These two rivals to lovers had insane chemistry with their bickering, and they definitely had insane chemistry with their antics in the bedroom. This book was different than I expected (don’t ask me what I expected, cause I haven’t a clue). But watching these two work their way into each other’s hearts was so sweet and lovely. This was very much a low angst fluffy little romance that warmed my heart.Tropes Include:MM Love InterestsBi-AwakeningRivals-to-LoversTeammatesSecret RelationshipBickering/BanteringForced ProximityGrumpy x SunshineLow AngstMedium HeatNo Third Act BreakupHEA

3.5 ⭐️s – A good start to the series
[...]I’ve read a few Reign books and I have always come out of them either satisfied or pleasantly surprised. This book falls in the former category. It’s fun, it’s cute, it’s a little bit sexy. It is what it is.That said, this book is about the relationship between our two MCs. Not much else.May contain spoilers:If you want to know the truth, they play a little hockey, they have a little Christmas dinner, they become a little bit of the snoopy neighbors. It’s all mostly adorable. But that’s about it. There’s no overarching plot other than the romance and the (could’ve been more) spicy scenes. Don’t even expect much in terms of the enemies-to-lovers trope. They get over that (and under each other) pretty quickly.Read it if you’re looking for a low angst, easy, satisfying read.

Poetry on Ice is Pure Poetry
[...]This book was simply amazing. If one could marry a book I would totally marry this one because it was that good. If been singing Jesse H Reign’s praises since I read Sainted in 2023 and she has not disappointed me. All her books are amazing. So of course when I found out she was releasing a hockey book I just had to immediately read it. Everything about this book was great, the writing, just like the title of the book was simply poetic, the banter, the angst, the anticipation is all there. The love, the laughs and the spice. Oh the spice is top shelf.Other things I loved about Poetry on Ice:-The way Robbie and Ant are so obsessed with each other-The way Robbie is so sure of his feelings for Ant and that they’re reciprocated-The way Ant is so helpless when it comes to Robbie- The jokes about the cage masks (cause omg IYKYK and it’s just hilarious that Jesse faced this head on and made fun of it!Anyway, I loved this one a lot. It’s right now ,y favorite book of the year so far. I can’t wait for what comes next from Jesse!“I like Ant Decker. I like him like crazy. I like him in a big, scary way that I know in my bones is a big deal. A big thing. The next big thing in my life. He may not feel it yet. Hell, he may not even know what we are yet, but I do. I know things. I know feelings. And this thing between us is as real as anything I’ve ever felt.”

[...]Sexy and sinful!😘 Absolutely scrumptious with a side of sensuality! Ant is crazy grumpy and full on fierce. Robbie is a bombshell is sex and sass! Together they burn up the pages and mess with your heart! Vivid and fully realized characters fall all over each other in this fast paced, messy slice of the human condition!😍 The banter and play is heart pounding and sensational. I had a ball getting to know this place the people who thrive here!!!😁😉 I highly recommend this to readers who enjoy a hard to put down mind blowing journey of love and disvovery!!!😋😂🤔😉

Entertaining Enemies to Lovers ..
[...]Jesse H Reign is a master at weaving together a story. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well defined and inner monologues were funny and they struggled to accept the new dynamic of their relationship. This book is true the this authors style if you are looking for spice. Almost every character has some degree of steam. There is kinky dirty talk.

Sweet. Funny. Hot. Pleasurable Read!
[...]Delightful story. Hot and passionate. The descriptions of their relationship had be smiling, laughing and feeling their passion. The writing was a pleasure to read. So many books have many grammatical errors that it interferes with the flow of reading. Not this book! It made me laugh, cry and hot.How much did I love this book? Twice my review did not save and so disappeared. Usually I would given up on writing and just posted stars. I hope this third time of writing a review will save.
