In Parcheesi Royal Edition, players race to get all of their pawns into the center home space. Watch out for blockades and captures or be sent back to the starting point. Ages 8 and Up. 2-4 Players.
A TRADITIONAL FAVORITE: The classic game of chase, race and capture was first played all the way back in the 4th century!
HOW TO PLAY: It’s every pawn for themselves and players try to roll the magic number and enter their pawns onto the track. Once out, players can form blockades, send their opponents home and earn big bonus movements!
HOW TO WIN: The first player to get all 4 of their colored tokens home, by exact count, wins the game!
STRATEGY: While the game is dice based- so there is a lot of luck involved – players can also be very skillful in how they choose to move their tokens. Blockades can go a long way to stopping your opponents!
HOW LONG IS GAMEPLAY: A full game of Parcheesi takes about 45 minutes with 4 players. It’s a wonderful, light-hearted game that has stood the test of time!

[...]Loved playing this game 65 yrs ago & wanted to share this now with my grandson. l ordered the Royal Edition because it is as l remembered it. But, was disappointed in the size of the box, not the “typical” game size box of back then, is a square box now. The pawns, shaker cups & dice are much smaller than the original. Not only is the game board smaller as well, but is folded into quarters, l feel more seams to wear out. The colors are bright & vivid as l remember from before. All in all l’m sure we’ll have fun playing it.
