I have been waiting for a Harry Potter themed Monopoly forever and was so excited when I discovered this one! I was expecting it to be exactly like the original Monopoly with just updated property names, etc. but there are actually a few brand new features, which did not spoil the integrity of the Monopoly game as I’d feared, but turned out to enhance the game in a Harry Potter-appropriate way.There are two major things that I have found different with this version of the game. The first is that it is a much quicker game than other traditional Monopoly games. This is, I think, due to the fact that properties are purchased with House Points instead of money, and the points only come in 10s and 50s.Secondly, the Chance and Community Chest cards are now combined and are called Owl Post (including some Howlers!). With the exception of Go to Jail and Get Out of Jail Free cards, all the instructions on the Owl Post cards are different from traditional Chance and Community Chest cards but they are AWESOME and very Harry Pottery!I love this game, and highly recommend it for any Harry Potter fan!

Such a fun way to play a favorite game with a favorite story line!
What a great idea! Mix 2 of the most popular icons and put them into one. HP and Monopoly fans will love this take. You accrue HP themed spaces by the use of house points, then add house crests (not hotels/houses) to completed collections. Community Chest are replaced by Owl Letters. Watch out for the Howlers though. We’ve loved playing this! One star off for the Owl Letter holder. Hedwig idea is awesome, but a bit cumbersome to get the cards out of without knocking the rest of them off the owl stand. Small detail that is a personal preference, but the design could be improved to keep the cards in place better. Other than that–totally worth it!

I am a Harry Potter fan and this game is amazing. Our family really enjoyed playing g it. It was easy to understand and the rules were explained very well in the instructions. Most people are familiar with the game so that definitely helps! If you knows Harry Potter fan, this would make a great gift. The value for the money is exceptional.

BEST GAME IN THE WORLD
BEST BOARD GAME EVER! CUZ WHO DOESN’T WANNA CAST SPELLS WHILE OWNING DIAGON ALLEY? THE PIECES ARE SO COOL YOU GET TO PLAY AS THE MOP. THE RULES ARE BASICALLY MONOPOLY BUT WITH MAGIC, AND IT’S SO FUN CUZ EVERY PROPERTY IS A SPOT FROM THE WIZARDING WORLD. I CAN’T EVEN DEAL WITH HOW AWESOME IT IS WHEN YOU LAND ON THE HAGRID’S HOUSE OR THE ARENA. WE PLAYED FOR HOURS AND LITERALLY EVERYONE WAS YELLING SPELLS LIKE “EXPELLIARMUS” WHEN WE TOOK OVER PROPERTIES. THIS GAME IS A TOTAL BLAST JUST BUY IT YOU’LL THANK ME LATER. SERIOUSLY!

A different twist on monopoly. A great game for Harry Potter fans. You play with house points instead of money. This game is more challenging. You pay in rent in house points what it actually costs a player to purchase it. The letter cards and howlers take place of the original chance and community chest cards. It’s a lot of fun to play in the evening to unwind.

Originally saw this game at Target, but opted to buy it on Amazon since it was half the price! Same quality as what i’ve seen in stores. This game is a must have for any Harry Potter fan even if you just want to keep it as decor/collectable.We played the game and it was so fun! The chance cards are Hogwarts Letters and are held by an owl card holder that sits on the board. You can buy several locations from the movies/books and much more! Its basically Monopoly but Harry Potter style.I would recommend to any fellow Harry Potter fan!
