A vampire bit me while we were making out. Now, I’m being forced to marry him.
Okay, not forced.
I just don’t have any other options.
My family is being targeted by a dangerous wolf pack, so we turned to our king for help. But he happens to be the guy I kissed.
He agrees to keep us safe—for the small price of my hand in marriage. Or mating.
Whatever you want to call it, he demands my future.
The alternative is embracing a group of cruel wolf shifters, so I put my hand in his and say the magical equivalent of, “I do.”
I’m giving up my freedom for the safety of my family… but I won’t fall in love with him.
Not even maybe.
Because mating sucks, but love?
It bites.
*This is a spicy enemies-to-lovers romance with a happily ever after

I had no doubt—Lola Glass never disappoints! This novella is sweet, romantic, and absolutely binge-worthy in a single day. As always, Damian is the ultimate paranormal MMC: a powerful vampire who’s hopelessly whipped for his mate. I loved her unique take on sirens, and the pool scenes had me laughing out loud. Off to devour the second book nowww!

What a great start to this series, sees a Siren agree to mate with the King of the Vampires in order to protect her sisters, but she starts to have feelings for him. This is a great story, with great characters and lots of laughs in Vamp Manor, as well as some serious trouble to tackle.

This book was a really good read and is the beginning of this series, so be warned!Book 1 features a story between the vampire “king” and a siren. They meet in a club, sparks fly but they get separated. When they find each other again, circumstances force them to mate and live together. It was great reading about the characters, their love story and I am looking forward to read Book 2 in the series.
[...]Came in a timely manner exactly what I ordered –
Fun quick read, I really enjoyed it, just what you need to warm up a cold February night. Looking forward to the next in the series

Review
[...]This one knocked my socks off. Loved it. I am here for that level of steam everyday of the week and twice on sunday’s. That pool scene tho. And there was this:”Romance is a lie. Real love is strong and determined. It’s a white-knuckled hold that you refuse to release, no matter how hard things get. It can be stubborn and bloody, and sometimes it hurts—but it’s as good as you make it. And you can make it really effing good.” (I substituted effing so it would pass review.)

Really good!
[...]I loved the story line. It pulls you in immediately. Has great action. Makes you feel the emotions. Not every author can do that. I could imagine each and every character. I will be reading more from this author.

simply sweet
[...]While it does have a few explicit scenes, it’s more about an uncomplicated, very basic, happy ever after tale. Nice diversion.

First time reading this author
[...]The story will never win any literary awards. And it isn’t up to True Blood’s standards with the strange. It is a fun mostly lighthearted story with lots and lots of sex. This author excels at minute details in that area. The story is basic and the main characters are quite immature, until they work out their stuff and unfortunately then the story ends. There is one fight scene in which this author’s talent does not appear. She needs to read some good westerns if she wants to write fight scenes. I am guessing this author appeals to very young females who are not looking for more than steamy romantic scenes. Although there were many possibilities in the outline of the fantasy world this author created, she did not bother to focus and develop anything other than the sex scenes between the two main emotionally young characters.Overall, I found the book disappointing. This author has numerous books out there and I do like reading good fantasy. I was hoping to find a large resource for reading. Unfortunately, there just is not enough developed nor enough of the story expanded to hold my interest. And honestly, I need more than detailed sex scenes to hold my interest.

This looks like a great series
[...]This is very interesting another fated mate trying to outrun a fated mate. I liked it because it has all my favorite fae vampires, werewolves, sirens, etc. the humor and how love can sneak up where you least expect it. Overall a fun book to read and a series that I’m looking forward to diving in.

Adorable🧛🏼🩵🧜🏼♀️
[...]I adore Lola Glass! She is 100% might go to author when it comes to lighter or pellet cleanser fantasy or paranormal.. She just writes adorable stories and I love her characters. She never takes it so far in any sense on the dark side that it’s a heavy read in any way, And honestly I love that. As much as I love reading a book that destroys your emotions or gets in your head or you think about it 3 years later still, It’s nice to just be able to read a book and escape into it and just enjoy it. every single one of her books I’ve ever read is like that. This book was no exception. Also, I loved the concept! I’m a sucker for sirens in any way but I feel like they’re often done to where the siren is just a straight up villain or The siren kind is villainized in a way. we’re in this one it was fun because sirens were honestly like a commodity and they were wanted and so it made sense for Blair’s fear of being in love and being used. And I loved watching Damien’s character break her down slowly and he honestly was such a sweet dude. It was an adorable book and I loved it! 🖤🧛🏼🧜🏼♀️

[...]I enjoyed this story, it was intriguing enough with minimal angst. I liked the characters and the potential for expanding this world.

Absolutely loved it!
[...]This was my first Lola Glass read and I absolutely loved it! I devoured it in about 2.5 hours, I couldn’t put it down. It was so much fun and the banter between our main characters, Blair and Damian had me cracking up. Not only was this book funny, but it was so sweet. There is just something about fated mates that pull at my heart. I can’t help but love it, it’s the best trope of all time. This book was light, fun and super sweet with all the things you love in a paranormal romance. Not only did it have fated mates but, also found family and I’m a sucker for it. I can’t wait to read more, I highly recommend it!
