I bought this to attach my tablet to the windshield of my car as needed. The suction cup was extremely sticky and almost difficult to remove from the glass the first couple of times. After using it for a couple weeks on and off I found that it is not as “sticky” but it still works great. The suction unit is strong and the whole thing is very sturdy. Now that it is easier to remove from the glass when I need to I find it even better.

Like the concept and used on my boat to hold the IPad

This item contains 2 pieces. The 2 don’t mesh properly and the holder drops frequently – leading to possible damage to phone/tablet.I am utterly disappointed and disgusted with this piece of crap. I need to return this item

I bought this to hold a Samsung tablet on my boat. It sticks to the surface even when the boat is on the move. These holders with lever locking system are definitely better than other types of surface locking methods.

Bought this for my Galaxy Tab A to run Gaia Maps in my 4wd. Wasn’t expecting this to last, but thought I could use the holder in my own design later – no need. I cleaned off the top of the console and stuck the suction cup on and has been great. I used it in the landscape position with the arm in the upward (normal) position so if I hit a bump it would put force on the locking mechanism on the arm and stay in place- this worked perfect, and held it up in the air on some very rough trails, forest service roads – but me in a JK wrangler it was taking up more of the window than I would like.So I pried the suction cup it off the console – quite difficult once set and very sticky, turned it 180 degrees and then had the arm dangling over my radio as per the pictures, and this puts the arm locking in a downward position – so if it comes loose, the weight of the device would extend the arm and fall out – it hasn’t to date and I have been on 3, several hour off road jaunts with loads of washboard roads, and rocky trails, and it has stayed locked in.It is a fully plastic design and the locking arm after you put you device in, slide up to grip and then you turn the locking mechanism 90 degrees to lock it in. All great so far and far far better than expected. I have the screw that tightens for the angle of the device pretty tight, so I can still lift the tablet in the holder to get to my radio and then flop it back down and it hasn’t come any looser over time. Mine rests the screw on the edge of the console so takes vibration through out the entire arm.Cons -The X of the arm restricts access to the the volume button in landscape of the TAB A, but does let you get to the off button – fine for me as I am not using sound on the go.not really a con but, I had to shave some of the foam padding to get my Tab A in with its case on ( i am using a 2 part SUPCASE – unicorn beetle pro)

Stays solidly in place once installed. A great deal!!
I needed a mounting solution for an 8″ Samsung Galaxy Tablet in my Boat. I use the tablet for Marine navigation in the Rivers and Bays of the San Francisco area. I found this little GEM and couldn’t be happier! This mount is made of a sturdy ABS plastic and has nice foam protection for the device where it contacts the tablet. It’s amazingly adjustable, (The angle of the windshield on my boat is pretty steep and the area of the dashboard I mounted it was a little snug. But, you can rotate this mount and swivel it to meet pretty much any angle.) Once you have is set to you angles, the tightening lugs are sturdy and hold their position.I ran a full day on a local lake with Some pretty choppy conditions while tubing and wakeboarding as a test. The mount stayed attached to my windshield and did not become loose in any of it’s various locking points.5 Stars in my book!

Good function, good buy, a little light.
I now have 3 pad mounts, and this one has the most good features. I thought I could stick it to my windshield and swing the joints downward so my vision wouldn’t be blocked. (Police in my area will ticket blocked visibility). Nope! Too much windshield blocked. So… I bought a couple of other mounts, and they were OK but had faults. I ended up using this mount with an aluminum plate held on my dash with a thin, non-skid sheet of rubber weighted and balanced with a lead shot bag. Works wonderfully! I can swing the pad down in front of my infotainment screen. The main arm was a little weak and shaky, so I placed 2 carbon fiber strips in the grooves on each side and poured them full of epoxy. Now it’s very rigid. My 10.1″ Samsung pad clamps very securely, and has little vibration. You can get inexpensive sticky plates and avoid making your own. I recommend this mount, if you know exactly what you need!

    Doesn’t hold iPad tight enough
First challenge was product arrived in torn see thru bag with no instructions. Not sure if that is how they are normally shipped. Good sturdy design, but to put it together you need to slide 2 of the main pieces together so they “lock” in place. No matter how much strength I used I could not lock the two together. Which is critical to use this mount. So, I put one piece in hot tap water, and the other in ice water, waited 5 minutes to see if that would expand/contract plastic just enough so that they would snap together. And it worked on first try. I’m using this for an iPad mount on dashboard. But, the big problem is, it does not hold iPad quite firmly enough. I learned this when I put the iPad in to test installation, and then it fill out hitting my toe and actually making it bleed believe it or not. It will hold the iPad firmly I would say, but for my purposes, not quite tight enough. There is no spring system in this holder. Might work in most applications, but in my application I really can’t have it sliding or potentially falling on the floor, it’s gotta be firmly held and quite snug. Hope this helps.

    Cheap Junk
I am shocked there are so many good reviews own this product – its cheap and flimsy. I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but come on – there is no way this thing will work in the way some of the reviewers have stated – like on a boat ?? HA! I installed my tablet and 30 seconds later it fell out onto the floor. There is no tightening mechanism, the holder basically holds the tablet with light pressure then you tighten the knob to “lock” it into place. Forget about using it in landscape mode, the tablet falls right out and its only a little better in portrait mode. And the attachment point ? What the heck is with the offset attachment ? It needs to be in the center, not off to the side – again – maybe that works for portrait mode, but it does not work at all in landscape mode. Finally, even when used in landscape mode there is no positive “lock” and so the arm comes detached from the tablet holder the second you hit any kind of bump. Absolutely worthless product – don’t let all the rave reviews fool you. The only positive thing about this product is the price – and I am not even going to waste my time returning it, it went right in the trash.

Made my job easier, love it!
I bought this Tablet Holder to hold a Surface Tablet on an Ambulance. If you’ve ever been in the back of one, you know it’s not the most smoothest ride you’ll ever take. Honestly, I figured for the price it would not last past the first couple of hours before I chunked it in the trash. Well, not only has it lasted but, it has taken a heck of a beating and NOT failed from day one. I remain very impressed with it. It is made out of hard plastic. It comes already put together and fits a variety of size tablets because the bottom piece moves back and forth to adjust to fit the tablet and secure it in place. However, if you firmly pull one side of the tablet, it will slide out but will not fall out on it’s own. When you pull the plastic covering off the plunger, it’s very sticky but, doesn’t leave a sticky spot on whatever you put it on which was a big plus with me. It has 3 adjustable knobs which come in very handy for a good view. It also has cushion for the back of the tablet to rest on . Once you place it where you want it and pull the lever on the suction cup, it doesn’t move. At lease mine doesn’t and it’s holding a Surface tablet with a hard cover on it. My Tablet Holder has gone from being stuck on all the inside walls, windshield, and even the hood of an Ambulance to relaxing in bed watching a movie on my personal tablet (bottom part can be used as a kickstand) that I had to give it 5 stars. I personally have not found anything that I don’t like about this item. It is serving it’s intended purpose and I will definitely be buying another one.

Holder works great in my C4 Corvette
I wanted to update the audio system on my 1990 C4 Corvette to add Android Auto without losing my current units CD capability. The tablet I purchased did not come with a window mount the constantly curving surfaces meant a dash mount was out of the question. In comes the Linkstyle Car Table Holder. Works great, is very solid, and easily removeable when I am prepping the car for autocross or track days. Love it.
