Felix
Dancing is everything to me. It’s the mother I lost, the father who never sees me. It’s the fiery love of my life, and I’ll defend it to my last breath—that’s what it means to be the lead principal at one of the best ballet companies in the world. Just when I thought I was on top, my greatest rival—my eternal nemesis—waltzes back into my life: Nicoló Savini. The ache in my bones and the bane of my existence.

If he thinks I’ll sit back and let him steal my spotlight, he’s sorely mistaken. No one’s taking this from me—not my father, not my ridiculously hot rival, and certainly not the confusing feelings that twist inside me every time I see Nico dance up close. He’ll regret coming here, to my city, my company. I’ll make damn sure of it.

Nico
Felix Taylor-Brooke has been my fiercest competition for years. I should loathe everything about him: his entitlement, his arrogance, that painfully captivating beauty. Felix was born for ballet; I was forged by it. People call us rivals, but that’s just the surface matter. Anyone who bothers to look any closer would see there’s something else simmering beneath, something we’ve both been fighting against for years.

When I walked away from ballet two years ago, I thought I was free. But then I was offered the one thing I’d always wanted, and I knew I’d regret not seeing this through. I know he’ll hate it, and I know he’ll likely make my life a waking nightmare, but honestly, I don’t sleep that well anyway. We might kill each other, but if we don’t, then we might be about to take on the greatest roles of our lives.

Felix and Nico had me entirely from the very start. Nico with his unwavering ability to love and Felix with his snarky beautiful mouth. Both men entirely entrenched in the world of Ballet, rivals constantly compared and then thrown together at the same company in London. Poor Felix’s head tries its best to explode. It’s got snark, humour, “I can’t believe I like THIS guy” vibes and filthy heat in ballet tights. But underneath all the laughs? It’s so damn beautifully soft as they fall. I’m failing to put into words how gorgeous it really is, but trust me, it’s a one sitting binge read that you’ll read over and over again. Bravo Scarlett!

Scarlett is so back you guysFelix and Nico are v v important to me, I adore them.Limerence is what happens when you take two ridiculously talented (and ridiculously stubborn) dancers, throw in tights, abs, and years of unresolved tension.Felix is the best the best —graceful, beautiful, and sassy af. Enter Nico, also graceful and beautiful, with the addition of being disciplined and SWOONY AF.He is a professional rival and someone who exists only to press every single one of Felix’s buttons. (According to Felix anyway) Worst of all? He’s HOT and KIND and FUNNY?They are the two most talented Ballerinos in the game, competition in every sense of the word and suddenly, ballet isn’t the only thing they’re putting their whole bodies into 😏The LOVES of my life, my darling broken boys ❤️Their dynamic is absolute magic. Their chemistry is ridiculous, and watching them go from rivals (with benefits) to something much deeper is an absolute ride.If you want messy, passionate love stories with a lot of spice and even more feelings, THEN READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW!!(Or else)I tried to actual write a grown up review, I hope you like it!

Well… wow! This book is a true gem! one of those stories that leave you breathless and with your heart racing.Scarlett Drake has done it again. Her writing, elegant and almost ethereal, immerses us in a vibrant, passionate, and tension filled story. From the very first page, “Limerence” pulls you into a world of art, rivalry, and desire proving once again why I love Scarlett Drake so much! She is synonymous with excellence. If expectations for this book were high, it has exceeded them in every way. A rivals to lovers romance set in the mesmerizing world of ballet is already an irresistible premise. But when the Main characters are Nico and Felix, two dancers whose rivalry is as intense as their undeniable attraction, the result is a story that has it all: tension, explosive chemistry, and a development that feels organic and compelling. The way their relationship unfolds is flawless, masterfully balances plot twists, raw emotions, and that perfectly spicy that seamlessly enhances the intensity of the story. Every scene is charged with energy, every confrontation brims with unspoken feelings, and every dance move echoes their push and pull dynamic. And the ending… simply sublime. There’s no doubt that Nico and Felix are here to steal hearts, mine first!. 🫠🩷

a great story, a little conflicted over some plot beats though
So the first in this series might be one of my favorite books of all times, in spite of several issues I have with it. There are even a few Easter eggs to the other novel which takes place in the same time as this one. However, this reads more like a traditional MM romance. And it involves ballet, but without the language issues in the first and it has a Whole lot more spice.I like how they swap voices from one to the other. It holds up to traditional enemies to lovers until the fourth quarter/act when there is a sort of predictable “11th episode” drama. What has me conflicted is the resolution to the drama and if we are going to get to “go meet” the family as it were it just feels like so much of an afterthought. Overall, I really liked this novel and the two characters. Might be closer to a 4.5 star read because of the last part but still fun read.

    Good, but not great
I liked most of this book, but it could have been cut by about 1/4 and would have been better for. The final “3rd act” drama/not-quite-break-up felt unnecessary and forced. Also, I really just didn’t enjoy reading about all the sex Felix had with people who were not Nico. Eliminating that and focusing on Nico and Felix’s relationship would have tightened the story.Because my main issue is I wasn’t really sure WHY Nico came into the story loving Felix. He wasn’t nice, especially to Nico, he was hugely egomaniacal and not in a pleasant way, he was basically a spoiled diva with a lot of talent. But he did grow on me. The thing is, Nico had been in love with him since Nico was like fifteen and I was never really shown or told why or how. Which, you know, basis of the whole book.Seemed like a giant oversight.

    A Perfect Romance
To say I’m obsessed with them is putting it mildly.Nico Savini was one of the greatest ballet dancers on the planet, and the only true competition for Felix Taylor-Brooke. Two years ago, he dropped out of the game, taking a hiatus with no established end date. Now he’s back, and he’s headed to London Ballet Company, where Felix dances. The rivalry is intense, but these men are carrying hidden depths, and the question is – what will they become to one another?I don’t know how to review this without flailing, but I’ll try. Scarlett is writing at a depth of characterization and plot that is unmatched. While this is her “rom-com,” and definitely lower in angst than her previous work, it’s filled with characters who are fully fleshed in all their idiosyncrasies and imperfections. I felt like I was falling in love alongside Nico and Felix, and that’s my favorite experience when reading a romance. While on the surface, Nico and Felix couldn’t be more different, the chemistry between them is incredible. Even at the peak of their supposed enmity, each is obsessed with the other in their own special way. One of my favorite musical theater quotes is, “I’m looking for baggage that goes with mine,” and that is these two to a tee. Discovering the ways they fit together despite all appearances to the contrary is the epitome of love. Their incandescent connection extends to the bedroom, as well! They have some of the most emotionally charged spicy scenes I’ve read, and they’re also exquisitely filthy. Just perfection.Limerence is a story about ballet, about friendship, about family and truth and lies. A story about trauma and loss and growing up, and of course, about love. I adore this with every cell in my body and I hope everyone reads it and experiences the joy of these ballet boys. This is book two of Famous Young Things, but can be read as a standalone.*I received an advanced reader copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review*

Enemies to Lovers Ballet with RomCom vibes
As far as I’m concerned, Scarlett can do no wrong and “Limerence” only proves me more right.Every single character in this book is written and used perfectly, from the background peeps to the MCs. Nico and Felix are a divine pair, full of spite and ridiculousness toward each other, and phenomenal amounts of talent and competitiveness. The ballet world setting is fascinating, Scarlett’s writing is gorgeous, and this story is the best possible blend of snark, humor, and spice, with some character trauma and did-not-see-that-coming mixed in.Absolutely recommend. 10/10

Beautiful Writing! Top 5 Book for sure!
This story is set in the world of ballet and the author’s writing style made it an intriguing place to settle into even for those of us (me!) who are only generally familiar with the ballet universe. The main characters are dynamic and the side characters really move the plot along in a series of twists/turns that I wasn’t expecting. There is so MUCH to this book that it is definitely a must read! The banter between the MCs is top tier, the writing, the pining, the settings, the nickname(!), the spice and the pace make it all a five star experience for me. After you finish this book you may want more from this author and so I would highly suggest you find Hamartia and Oleander from Scarlett Drake, as well.
