Passt perfekt für meine Spüle in der Küche. Die breite Auflage hat mich verwundert, aber sie deckt den Bereich rund um den Abfluss selbst angenehmst ab. Das Sieb ist so konstruiert, dass Wasser auch noch abfließen kann, wenn das Sieb selbst etwa von Speise- oder Gemüseresten voll ist: das zylindrische Teil in der Mitte ist hohl und weist Löcher auf. Diese Teil ist auch als Griff gedacht, das Sieb herauszunehmen und zu leeren. Um den Preis allerdings, dass es keine Vorrichtung gibt, den Abfluss von Wasser gezielt zu stoppen. Zudem ragt das Mittelteil über die Ebene, so dass kein Topf den Abfluss sperren kann – es bleibt immer ein Spalt.Hier hält sich der Frust mit der Blisterpackung in Grenzen, das Sieb ist gut zu entnehmen.

Effective, but not for the long term
[...]Worked well to keep water moving and catch particles, but center post was bent by stacking dishes too many times. Reduced effectiveness and made it harder to keep clean and not attractive. Had to replace them after a couple of years.

Works great and black plastic part can be replaced if broken
[...]This strainer really works! Food can fill the stainless steel basket but the holes in the middle plastic part will keep the water draining. The only potential downside is that part sticks up above the rest of the strainer in order to help the water flow down the drain, and like many folks have mentioned here, that piece broke over time from being squished by heavy things directly on top of it. Recently I discovered the manufacturer sells replacements of that plastic part for a reasonable price, and I was happy to not have to replace the whole thing. I didn’t want to have to go back to a standard sink strainer. I hope to be more mindful of not breaking it, but I already have a spare replacement part if I need it!

Does the job! – Simple and easy.
[...]So….One day our sink strainer just disappeared. Such an odd item to just vanish.Anyway I went to Amazon to buy a new one, and I ran across this one. I bought it because it looked like it would fit any sink and would be a simple product that works.it is just that! It is easy to use, fits in nicely and is easy to remove and bang against the side of the garbage can to remove the scraps. I have no complaints and I am satisfied with this purchase. Sink strainers are not an item that need to be overly complicated or have any moving pieces.This is an easy, simple strainer that I am glad I purchased. Pictures attached.

Performs Well
[...]I was hopeful that this strainer would work well in my kitchen sink, and so far, it has. I like the sturdy stainless-steel construction, and it fits my drain opening very nicely. Previously, I had the OXO brand which worked well and was super-easy to empty due to its “pop-out” feature—the rubber material which you simply turn inside out when emptying. The OXO brand would get icky and slimy very quickly and had to be washed and scrubbed off. I mostly placed it in the dishwasher to do the cleaning job. This new one requires a light tap, tap, tap on the side of the trash can, which removes the waste, most of the time. Occasionally I need to use a bit of paper towel to get everything out, which is okay. It does keep the water flowing down the drain even with a lot of food debris in the basket, as others have noted. Overall, I like it, and it certainly performs better than the strainer that came with my sink. It seems that sink manufacturers don’t put much thought into the efficient design of their strainers. It has been that way for as long as I have been washing dishes, which is, for many decades.

It also does the best job, it does not hinder drainage at all. After putting up with those that must be removed for the water to completely drain, this one works perfectly without touching!
