[...]Great game. Son loved it. Only oddity – I remember on my old, old version (purchased during the 60’s I believe) the numbers on the people are the opposite – a Marshal being a 1 and a Scout a 9. This game was the opposite so it will take some brain bites to get into groove!Great game – 9 year old loved it!

Great game but the numbers are far too small
[...]It’s a great game, but as a few others have said, the numbers are unnecessarily small. I always need my reading glasses and still struggle a little. It’s so dumb. It’s as if the game maker thinks we play the game by recognizing the big pictures on each piece.Also, keep in mind that the order of power is reversed from the earlier versions, so now 1 is lowest and 10 is highest.A couple pros compared to earlier versions:-The quantity of each piece is written on the board now so that helps in strategy.-It comes with a cardboard cover to shield you pieces if you get up to take a break.

[...]Very good game! Easy to learn and comes with clear instructions. My two nephews, 7 and 5 were able to play this and absolutely loved it, so much so that we bought it for them. The point of the game is to capture the flag of your opponent. There are several people with different jobs that can surround the flag and kill off your people that come close. Not a hard game, can take a while if the flag is hidden well on both sides. If you get good at it, there are strategies on how to place your flag and your people. Highly recommend! Fun for kids and adults!

[...]Strategy is a timeless game and the board, backdrop, pieces and materials on how to play the game our great! And the materials come translated in 3 languages. However, the package took a month to be delivered and arrived Xmas Eve while we were out of town. Luckily, our family also celebrated Hanukkah and it made for a great gift for our son at that time.

Young chess lover LOVES this game
[...]I had played Stratego as a child and liked it. My 9-year-old grandson, who is a pretty good chess player, just LOVES this game. It’s a little easier than chess, but still challenging. My only complaint is that I wish the numbers on the playing pieces were a little larger.
