For the beginner or those who want to brush up on skills.
[...]As a beginner in drawing people this was excellent. I had the background in anatomy already but didn’t understand how to take what my eyes saw to the sketch book. Every thing is explained. Loved it.

Well presented for beginners, but………..
[...]As stated in the title, the presentation is good for a beginner, (my granddaughter is interested) takes you through most of the fundamentals that you would get in an intro drawing class and spends about 2/3 of the book on this before getting to portraits and faces. Presents the Loomis method which I find to be very helpful in portraiture work, overall a solid presentation; so why the 3 start rating you might be thinking. Well the book started to fall apart at the binding from day 1! Sad to see a well presented book disintegrate from day one.

For artist “wanna be’s
[...]Some of us need a little help in our drawing. Some need a lot of help. This does the trick.

Helpful
[...]This book covers shading, light, shadows, line weight, and blending. It moves quickly through these concepts to actually showing parts of the face. I like that it isolates the ear, nose, eye, lips, and hair before moving on the full faces. Very helpful without being overwhelming like some art books can be.

Basic drawing techniques, but the fundamentals are the most important part of drawing
[...]Easy to follow, great refresher, or for someone who would like to learn to draw faces and features of the face

Such a great book for beginners!!
[...]A month ago I decided I wanted to start drawing… just as a quirky little hobby to keep me off of dead scrolling on social media. To my surprise I’m completely immersed in this and I’m so excited to see how far I can go. So I purchased this book in hopes that I can learn properly and it’s a game changer. It gives you step by step instructions on how and why to do certain things. Which is great because when you know how and why to do something , you can build on that as you progress. I added a pic of my first ever ear and the second pic is a comparison of my ear and the example ear in the book! Again I literally just started drawing in the beginning of September. This is such a great testament of how good the instructions are in this book! I will definitely buy more books from Leia Bloom!!
