This was a gift for my son and I would highly recommend it. The magnetic suitcase style makes it convenient to store with no chance of a box getting mangled. The wheel turn great on a table to move the board around and the tile holders make it easy for the tiles to stay in place!

Great for home and travel use.Have enjoyed many games since purchase.Only negative for me, is it doesn’t include score pad (as Scrabble games used too)

Got it for my daughter for Christmas. We love the rotating feature so that each player can see the board straight in front of them.It is nice that it packs up for moving from place to place and easy storage, yet doesn’t feel like a cheap travel board. The indented areas to stabilize the tiles are great! Handy drawers for storage for the tiles and docks with room for paper pads and pens.

Great!
[...]Wanted scrabble board with ability to hold tiles in place. This is perfect…not overly expensive. Has storage trays for letter holders and letters. Also cloth bag to hold tiles for selection and storage. Rotates easily, and folds in half for storage and/or transport. Solid plastic composition. Definitely a keeper for a long time! Very pleased!

Great new “deluxe” edition
[...]I grew up playing Scrabble, so I’ve always had an affinity towards this game. While I do play more modern board games, this is a great family game, and especially a fantastic 1v1 game with the right people who know their Scrabble dictionary. What’s really nice about this deluxe edition is that it folds up like a suitcase for easy travel capability. It also has two compartments that slide out and back in to hold all the tiles/bag and all 4 letter racks. Instructions fit as well. The letter racks are slightly curved, which is a nice little bonus, too. Gives that extra “No cheating!” vibe to it, as well as making it slightly easier for the eyes to read all the tiles. All in all a solid purchase. Hopefully the durability will last, but only time will tell. Still 5 stars though.

Nice travel board
[...]I like that it folds and all pieces are stored in the board unit. Like that it spins. I feel the tiles are not standard scrabble tiles. So cant but any standard scrabbe replacement pieces if any get lost since they wont work in this board. Maybe that is what makes it travel size. It only a tad smaller than regular board. Very nice board. Wish it locked so it cant open accidentally.

The best set if the price is right.
[...]So you may have noticed there’s a Scrabble Diamond Anniversary Edition, and then there’s this Amazon-exclusive Scrabble Deluxe Edition which, I might add, is WAY better than the current “Deluxe” edition in brick-and-mortar stores. But you may ask “What’s the difference between this Deluxe and the Diamond Anniversary Edition?” and that’s a really, really good question. The answer is: Not much.In fact, if you press the stickers on the sides down a bit you’ll see that the plastic on this board actually has the logo for the Scrabble Diamond Anniversary Edition embossed into it, with a Scrabble Deluxe sticker pasted over the top of it to hide the previous branding. Yes, kids, this is a Scrabble Diamond board with new stickers. What else is different? The tiles. In the Diamond Anniversary Edition the tiles are black with silver letters embossed into them. In this set, the standard wooden tiles from classic Scrabble are in play. The wood tiles are *slightly* smaller than the black ones, so they sit in the grooves on the board just a little bit less snugly than the black tiles that this board was designed for, but not so much that it noticeable or a problem if you’ve never played the Diamond version. The racks are the same curved red rack from the Diamond version. The bag is a standard felt-like bag. The manual’s actually pretty nice and detailed with some great information, variations on play, and suggestions. So basically, Hasbro mass-produced the Diamond Anniversary edition, and made a deal with Amazon to sell this version as a “lesser” model for a lower price, but the only thing “lesser” about it is the tiles. If you’re really a stickler for a complete Diamond experience, I suppose you could buy some black and silver tiles separately for another fifteen bucks, but I don’t see the need.I had the Diamond Anniversary Edition (lost it, though) and I have this Scrabble Deluxe Amazon Exclusive edition, and I’m here to tell you that if you’re spending over a hundred bucks for a Diamond set, you’re either a crazy collector, or easily duped into paying way more for nearly the same thing. This IS the Diamond board with a sticker on it.So how does it play? It’s a great Scrabble set. The board spins by way of some wheels on the bottom (no, not a turntable, actual little wheels) and it’s a smooth experience that makes game play easier for everyone around the table (though it likely won’t spin on carpet.) The whole thing folds up for storage, with two plastic trays built in to hold the racks, scorepads, pencils, tiles, bag, and manual (scorepad sold separately, of course.)It’s pretty easy to carry around, though I wouldn’t call it totally “travel” sized. I wouldn’t try to play in a car unless it was a very smooth-riding vehicle and the road had no chance of bumps. For travel it’s best to have a magnetic set, which this is not. But for bringing along to places where you have a stable surface to play? Yeah, it’s pretty handy.Bottom line: This is the Scrabble set to get if you want a turntable, don’t want to spend a hundred bucks, and don’t particularly care if the tiles are special limited-edition colors. This will do just fine.Five stars, no question.Update: As another reviewer notes, the tiles with this set are a bit lower quality than the tiles with the standard set. They’re perfectly usable. They are all present (in my set, anyway) and the letters and numbers are legible. If you don’t like them the easy solution is to swap your tiles from your previous standard edition (come on, you know you had one before buying a Deluxe edition!) or buy another set separately. They’re inexpensive. However, I see no reason why most people wouldn’t be perfectly happy with the tiles included with this set.

Worth the money. Buy it!
[...]We really enjoy playing Scabble, but the original board is not very sturdy. Trying to turn board during play is too difficult because the tiles slide. This style is perfect. Tiles set in edged sided grooves, plus the case is on wheels so turning the board is a breeze. The two drawers under board hold the tile holders in one and the tiles in velvet bag in the other. Fold the case and it travels with you.

Convenient Scrabble Board
[...]I like the raised plastic around where each tile can sit on the board. It keeps all the pieces from scooting around on the board. All the pieces and trays fit into the plastic board and it folds nicely. It’s is easy to put this away when not in use. The wheels on the bottom of the board make it easy to rotate.

Great Design, Very Sturdy, Wonderful
[...]I was looking to get a nice scrabble game that was more than just the cardboard version. This version definitely delivered it has all the features that I was looking for in a “deluxe” scrabble. It holds the pieces in place on the board so I don’t have to get frustrated with the words moving around, It has great storage on the sides for everything, It folds in half which makes it super easy for storage and has a nice handle for carrying it around, and the frame of the board which holds it all together is made with really sturdy plastic. I am very pleased with this purchase and am looking forward to playing many games of scrabble in the future.
