I definitely overestimated my own handyman skills when I bought this fixer-upper. I have to say, the view from my new place is worth it though. Especially around seven o’clock every morning when my big, furry bear of a neighbor drinks his coffee shirtless on his back porch.
He’s dedicated to the bear thing too. Growly, grumpy, and as it turns out, he really likes belly rubs.
Am I a sucker for a touch starved grump? Yes. Am I sorry about it? Absolutely not.
Getting Griff into my house and into my bed is the easy part. Convincing him I’m actually interested in him is so much harder.
I didn’t mean to turn myself into his secret admirer, but if sending him anonymous presents and notes is the only way to wear down his gruff exterior, then that’s what I’m going to do.
Sooner or later he’ll realize he’s more than just my grumpy handyman, right?
Handy is a super low angst, high heat, romantic comedy featuring a grumpy “Bear” (not the shifter kind ;) ), and his sunshiney neighbor who becomes his secret admirer. It can be read as a stand alone but the most enjoyment will be from reading it as part of the full Four Bears Construction Series.

I really wanted to hug Griff and make him feel better. I loved how patient Ledger was with Griff. Another Amazing Book
[...]Handy is another amazing book by K.M. Neuhold. A sweet, adorable, growly and scowling bear with an adorable stalkerish neighbor who loves window peeping, and who loves being the secret admirer forest ranger. Two characters who were well written. The story itself is wonderful and fits perfectly. This book is exciting, with some comedic humor, an adorable raccoon who is just spoiled, and situations that only Griff and Ledger can handle. 5 star ⭐️ worthy is what this book is. 💜

While the book includes characters from the other books in the series it is excellent as a stand alone. The characters are believable and the same developing their romances we all do. After reading this book you well probably want learn the stories of the other men at the firm. Stone is remarkable for his ability to modify old standard English expressions.

[...]I missed the Four Bears Construction crew. I’m glad they are back. This book was one of my most anticipated reads for 2025. I really loved this story. I related to Griff’s character. My love language is touch. So, I understand where his actions and mannerisms were coming from. I appreciated that Ledger understood that and was quick to comfort him even in the smallest ways. I thought it was awesome that Ledger was a park ranger. I just wish we could have gotten more of a look into that side of him instead of only learning about the birding. Hopefully, we will get to read more from the Ink Slingers next!

[...]I have absolutely loved every book in this series and normally love all of KM Neuhold books… BUT I swear Griff is my favorite character KM has ever written. He is grumbly, grumpy, and squishy and I absolutely fell in love with him almost instantly. This story was so sugary sweet I can’t even handle it. I loved everything about it, I appreciate how KM handled Griff and his grief, his panic, and his struggles with opening back up. I love the trope of two people both trying to keep chill and not show their needy, excited, slightly crazy sized. I love when they aren’t sure how the other feels and want to take it slow for the other person. This was just fantastic. Highly recommend.
