I’ve been occasionally using these Garbage Disposal Cleaner Deodorizer Fresh Citrus Tablets since November. Honestly, a stinking garbage disposal has never really been an issue for me, so it’s a bit hard to notice a big difference. However, from what I can tell, these tablets seem to be doing their job.Every time I use them, they leave a fresh citrus scent, which is quite pleasant. The fact that there are 24 in a pack is convenient, ensuring I have plenty on hand for regular maintenance. While I might not have had major disposal odor issues to begin with, I like the idea of keeping it clean and fresh with these tablets. They’re easy to use and seem to provide an extra level of cleanliness, even if the impact isn’t hugely noticeable in my case. For anyone dealing with disposal odors, these might be a worthwhile investment.

These tablets work great at cleaning out garbage disposals. They smell nice and foam well, often the foam will come out of the other attached drain in the sink. I use about one every month, so a 24 pack lasts quite a long time. Very reasonably priced. I have no complaints.

I have purchased better in past years
[...]I was swayed by the positive reviews , but honestly, this is just average in performance . As to the freshness and the odor control of the garbage disposal, it is just OK. I clean my disposal every week with bleach and a long handled brush, being sure to get the underside of the black rubber thingy, so I really expected to have good results by using just one of these tablets. That is not the case. I used one with no lemony or citrus scent, and after using a second one just minutes later, there was still neither of those scents . Must have received an old box of tablets. I will use the rest of them, using three tabs next time and see if I get the lemony scent that I think would be nicer and less harsh than bleach. I know bleach kills odor causing bacteria, so my disposal is definitely clean so that wasn’t my issue.

Works as promised, packaging could use improvement
[...]I had an issue with my drain backing up and having standing water in my kitchen sink for over a week before it could be repaired. Long story short, my older condo has cast iron pipes or all the drains that needed replacing in the entire building, and many of those pipes were rusting internally, causing blockages. After it was fixed, there was a bad odor and corrosion inside of the disposal. I was searching online and locally for something that would get rid of the smell at least, and this did the trick!It’s very simple to use and only takes a couple minutes. Just run the hot water into the drain for a minute, then slow the faucet so that the hot water stream is about the width of a pencil and move it toward the corner of the sink to let it indirectly flow into the drain. On first use, I used two tablets as recommended and turned on the disposal immediately after placing them inside the drain into the disposal. Within seconds, foam built up and began expanding out into the sink a little, and then quickly sank back into the disposal. I ran the disposal as instructed until the foam was gone, and after turning it off the odor that was present was completely gone. All that was left was a light citrus scent and now the kitchen smells so much better!It’s recommended you do this periodically so that the disposal stays fresh, and hopefully I remember to do it regularly.My only gripe is that while the packaging is very compact and not wasteful, getting the box to stay closed is a bit tricky once the tablets start shifting around. The tabs that secure it closed aren’t very large, so if the box is anything less than perfectly flat, it’ll pop back open. I may just cut out the instructions from the box and place it along with the tabs in a plastic container.
