Ezra Bennett is like a drug. Autumn Green has been clean for ten long years.
But that doesn’t stop the cravings.
Autumn:
I got over Ezra a long time ago.
It was easy with us living two thousand miles apart. I sent him away the day I learned of Dad’s illness. I wouldn’t let my family issues stop him from getting out of this town and away from his father.
But out of the blue, he’s back, hired by my traitor friend and boss to design the bistro on our Christmas tree farm. The bistro I’ve been waiting ten long years to run.
Yep, irony has decided to punch me in the gut and laugh. Again.
My epic plan—ignore the man.
I’m trying. However, his new muscles and facial hair are stirring up feelings and making my ignoring efforts problematic.
I have to figure out how to sweep those feelings under the rug.
Because we have the same problem today that we had ten years ago.
Ezra can’t stay and I can’t leave.
Ezra:
Ten years ago I held the gold medal for kissing Autumn Green.
But that was another life. One that included an absent mother and an alcoholic father.
And of course, Autumn.
The thing is, back then, I’d take all the bad if it meant I got Autumn. I’d give up all my other dreams because she was the ultimate dream.
Until the day she tossed my heart into a food processor, chopping it into a million tiny pieces, and leaving it on her doorstep for the birds to peck at.
I’m only back in Wyoming, back in our home town because if I want to eat, I need a job. And I like eating.
So, I’ll help Autumn design her bistro for the Christmas Tree farm but that’s it.
Because I am not here for the girl.
At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
Falling for Autumn (Again) is a closed door, dual POV, laugh-out-loud romcom filled with witty banter, steamy chemistry, and heart-warming moments. It deals with matters of alcohol abuse, cancer, and loss of a parent while still being light, funny, and uplifting. And of course it is a happily-ever-after read!

Second chance is usually one of my less favorite tropes, but Jen has written this novel in such a wonderful way that this book instantly became one of my favourite books I’ve read this year. She has so skillfully woven together the story of Ezra and Autumn in such a way that you can’t help but feel you’re right there with them. You’ll laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time, as you read this story full of love, forgiveness, healing, and second chances that end in a perfect HEA. Don’t miss out on adding this book to your TBR!

Loved this book of Ezra and Autumn in how love can deserve another chance especially when you aren’t expecting it. Great work, Jen.

Second chance romance with fall feels
[...]Falling for Autumn (Again) by gave me all the feels. 🍂❤️🌲Ezra and Autumn’s second chance love story was SO GOOD! An emotional story with A LOT of funny and sweet moments! I also loved the character connection with Meg from Her Runaway Vacay. Some of my favorite things:🌲Don and Dessie – meddling friends🌲Diet Coke moment🌲flashbacks to high school years🌲the rain🌲the locket🌲”5 more minutes”🌲house painting🌲the closet…and so many more! ❤️Do yourself a favor and move this book to the top of your list!
A Book and A Cup of Cocoa –
Here’s the deal:
[...]This book is cute. Did you read Runaway Vacay? Remember Autumn? This is her story. And Ezra’s. These characters are flawed. Not poorly written, they are flawed like real humans. If you like that realism, this book is 100% for you. If not, this book is probably still for you, just go in eyes wide open.If you like autumn, tree farms, cooking, flashbacks, small towns, second chances and kissing books, check this one out!

Second chance sweet romance
[...]This was a great book to read for a reset after reading some heavy material. There is some sad stuff though- death of a parent and an abusive parent. Everyone gets a hea in the end though.

Falling for Autumn (Again)
[...]Reader’s Notes:– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone– this is told from Autumn & Ezra’s points of view– this is connected to Her Runaway Vacay, but you don’t need to read it to enjoy this story– it is mentioned that a character grew up under an abusive & alcoholic father (who we briefly see a few times in the story); the mother left when they were little– it is mentioned that a side character gets a cancer diagnosis & later passes away from itReview:Gah, Jen why’d you do this to us!!! 😂😅😭 I loved Ezra & Autumn’s story together and getting flashbacks to when they were first together/friends! I loved that Autumn wanted to care for those she loved, but it hurt so much to see how her decision broke things for both her & Ezra. I loved that Ezra had a different way of taking care of those he loved and that he tried to ease into loving Autumn again despite his feelings rapidly progressing. I loved that their friends (the tree farm owners) conspired against both Autumn & Ezra in so many ways to try and get them back together (and that it worked!). I loved so many parts of their past & present relationship! 😍Summary:Autumn had her life planned out with her high school sweetheart, but when she discovered her dad was ill, she made the tough decision to do something she never thought she’d do: break Ezra’s heart. No matter what, Autumn wanted to take care of everyone she loves and the best way to do that was to stay home and force Ezra to still follow through on their original plan without her. If he’d known the real reason Autumn was changed things, he’d never have left.Ten years passed since that fateful day and Autumn thought she was over the heartbreak she endured due to her choices, but Ezra coming back to their small town makes her resolve falter. With his homecoming only being temporary, Autumn can’t risk falling for Ezra again and is determined to keep him at arms length. But he isn’t making things easy…Ezra only came back to his hometown because he needed a job and some old friends had an opportunity available for employment in designing their new bistro. What they failed to mention was that ‘their’ bistro was really going to be Autumn’s bistro and he’d have to work closely with her to get things done. With their failed relationship still strong in his mind, Ezra doesn’t think it’d be a good idea for his heart to get attached to Autumn again. He doesn’t know what’s next for him and Autumn is set on staying in Love, Wyoming. It should be easy… but nothing about his feelings for Autumn is easy…

Sweet and Swoony Second Chance
[...]One thing I love about a good fiction is when my emotions run high and I become very passionate about the characters and situations. I felt sooo much with this book. Autumn and Ezra were high school sweethearts with big plans and when an unpleasant and unexpected event catches Autumn off guard, she tosses their plans into the wind without any explanation.Ezra has risen from the tumultuous ashes of a terrible homelife to become the most amazing man to walk the streets of small town Love and I just couldn’t understand–HOW could Autumn watch him go? I spent a good chunk of the book so angry at her, yet Ezra is so compassionate, forgiving and still so in love with her, and a beautiful story unfolded to reveal just how amazing he is. It warmed and thawed my vexed heart and I found myself cheering this dynamic couple on.As expected, Jen Atkinson writes a tale with delectable banter and wit and laced with the swooniest moments. I found myself deeply invested and my heart was pricked with all the feelings. This is a sweet story that will warm anyone’s autumn day.Content: off-page parental alcoholic/neglect/death; mild, swoony romance*I received a complimentary copy. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and were voluntarily given*

Cute but hate the wait
[...]I love that they were always end game, but I really hate the romance stories where they have to ‘save’ the person and can’t be together for 5+ years.

Rare and Autumn
[...]Awwwwwwwwwww. I get why Autumn sent Ezra away, but BOY HOWDY!!!! Ezra could have attended community college for his first two years. He could have moved in with Dessie and Don. There are so many ways Ezra and Autumn didn’t have to lose ten together, but Autumn was young, she’d just learned horrific information about her beloved Dad, and she feared for her precious boyfriend’s awful home life. She clearly was thinking straight. Hurt people hurt people. Thankfully, Ezra lives Autumn enough to forgive and continue loving her regardless. Such a beautiful story. It reminds me of that story where the woman sells her most treasured possession to get a Christmas gift for her husband while he sells his most treasured possession to get her a Christmas gift. Sad, but beautiful. “The Gift of the Magi” by O’Henry
