Weighing Functions
You can easily choose among measurement in oz, lb:oz, g, ml (Milk & Water), fl’oz (Milk/Water). This digital scale measures in precise increments of 0.05oz (1 g) to accurately weigh your items. Power is provided by 2 AAA batteries (included), making the scale portable and ensuring that you can easily acquire replacement batteries.
Tare Function
The tare function allows the user to deduct the weight of a container from the total weight in order to determine the net weight of the contents excluding the weight of the container which holds them.
Clear Display and Auto-off
The scale has an easy-to-read backlit display, staying 30 seconds for easily reading. To save energy, the scale also features an auto-off function, allowing the scale to turn off after 2 minutes inactivity. Do not mix new and used batteries to power the device

Love this scale and definitely recommend it! It’s light, compact and slim so it’s easy to store. I love the tare function. It eliminates one extra item to store, eliminates the problem of items not fitting into a supplied bowl and lets you weigh items in the container in which you’re eating them from, thus reduces dirty dishes. Best of all..it works! It even comes with batteries! It’s accurate, super easy to use and it’s a nice looking piece to have in case you want to keep it on the counter. It’s also a great price (although I got mine on sale for $17).

Good kitchen scale
[...]The scale is lightweight and slim. It works perfectly and I am happy with it. I measured water samples to check it’s accuracy and it’s spot on. I was slightly worried the quality wouldn’t be so good due to some of the reviews I read so wanted to share that for my purpose of weighing food it is a great little scale. It helps me measure food and ensure the quality control on everything. This food scale is my constant companion. I don’t eat without it. Now, don’t get me wrong. I didn’t always use a food scale to measure my food intake. In fact, for years when I heard people talk about using a food scale, and measuring their food intake it was always dieters, and one thing I never went on was a diet. At least not in the sense I understood they meant to use the word, “diet”! The thought of depriving my body from food was foreign to me. In fact, growing up with a limited food supply meant that once I was old enough to get a job, I exiled food shortage from my life. However, overeating because food became plentiful in adulthood with a job eventually became a problem. Especially after pregnancy and becoming a mother. An experience worth losing a few vanity points over for sure! However, with weight gain vanity concerns pale in comparison to health concerns. I bake a LOT and have put this to use almost daily for bread, cakes, cookies, etc.I had a glass top etekcity scale for almost 10 years and it broke after a move. I’m a big fan of this brand.It doesn’t measure very very small weight increments (zesting an orange directly into the bowl wasn’t even registered, even though it was probably about 5-7g), but I trust it for weighing flour and sugar.Easy to tare, buttons aren’t too sensitive. Easy to wipe clean. Will probably upgrade to another etekcity scale if this one stops, but I’m happy with it for now!

[...]Easy to it, has both English and metric scales, thin and light weight. It takes almost no room on a shelf. I use it for bread baking and other, mainly pastry recipes. Seems to work just fine. Uses a battery and auto shuts off when not in use for awhile.
