Great tool for this tutor!
[...]I taught writing in fifth grade and third grade and now tutor students to be able to learn cursive since it is no longer taught in many schools, but parents still want their children to know how to read and write cursive. I realize it is the electronic age, but we still need to learn how to write checks and sign our names on important documents, right?I read the book and then had my student today, do a few pages and by using the book and writing on my dry erase board. The directions were clear and concise and my student actually asked me if I would buy him a copy of the book to use at home…of course I will. Learning should be fun and this book certainly helped me make learning fun today! I cannot wait to use it during this next school year…so happy I was guided towards this book.

[...]Bought this for a child starting 9th grade to strengthen her cursive skills before school starts. My student already knew cursive and just needed some practice to get faster and find it easier. Seems like a good book for our purposes. I like that it wasn’t too baby-ish for my teen.

Excellent book for practicing cursive
[...]Many schools have stopped teaching the art of handwriting. I’m old school and love snail mail and handwritten letters and cards. My teen enjoys this book and is still using it. It contains quotes from famous people and not simply “The dog is brown.” Will enclose a photo so you can see some of the pages inside.

A good teaching aid
[...]It’s just ridiculous that schools have opted out of teaching cursive writing. My two granddaughters only know how to print, and when I send them cards they can’t read them because they have never been taught cursive, and I never think to print. I decided to get them these books to learn. My youngest just loves it and practices all the time. My older granddaughter thinks I’m crazy! I told her until she learns cursive, I will continue to write her cards and notes in cursive! She takes stubborn too far! These books are just great for giving them the tools they need for the future.

Great Cursive Workbook!
[...]Unfortunately cursive has stopped really being taught in schools these days and in my opinion handwriting is suffering because of that. This workbook is easy to follow and fits the age group better than some workbooks I’ve seen as they tend to be for younger kids and have big bold lettering and script, therefore less practice space. This is more styled for the teen/older writer and helps them learn to write in cursive at the proper size as well. I like that there is practice for full sentences and not just the letters individually, this helps to learn the fluidity between the letters as well. The quotes are also a nice touch as they are inspirational and promote forward thinking! Overall, I think this is a great workbook for teaching cursive and definitely works for the teen demographic it’s aiming for!
