Invi has done it again and absorbed me into her literary word! I was up until 3am reading this book and it was so worth it!Chev and Vanessa’s story is so much more than your average romance. I don’t know how I fell in love with them and their love story in such a short number of pages.This book is the perfect split of plot, emotion and spice! An amazing quick story with a HEA! I would recommend, 10/10.

Okay I’m obsessed with Chev and I loved everything about his book! 😭😍Chev became family throughout “The Female” series when his friendship with Charlie grew and again with Aziel. I fell in love with his character because he was so loyal and genuinely kind but all he ever wanted was to find his mate.Watching the story unfold between Chev and Vanessa was beautiful because that’s what this whole book was about. No big plot of any kind, just the story of them and how Vanessa overcame her trauma being a rescued female with the love and patience from Chev.But to top it off we got to see more of the wrath trio and their babies, causing mayhem but also being a big part in their lives. I love Chev, it’s a cute story
[...]Just preface this, I DNFd the 3rd book around 70%. It was just way too much smut, and I was no longer invested in the story. But I did thoroughly enjoy the first 2 books and wanted to see what Chev was up to in book 4.Unlike the first books, there was no high stakes fantasy storyline. It was simply a story about Chev and Vanessa creating a relationship. Chev’s chapters were hilarious and his way of looking at things was so pure and adorable. Vanessa was ok but I didn’t really feel a connection with her. Since there was nothing else happening with the plot aside from interactions between these two, their -very long winded and repetitive- internal monologues, and mundane daily habits, I found the book a little boring.

[...]I had such a fun time reading this! Chev is such a hilarious character to read, and I also was obsessed with how obsessed HE was with his mate. It’s definitely not the strongest in the series which makes sense as it’s a shorter spinoff, but I’m not bothered by that at all. I’m not usually one to love short books as I really like all the nitty gritty details of a blooming relationship, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the book, and didn’t mind the length. I was thinking while reading The Female series that I would love to read a spinoff book for Chev or Echo so I’m super happy to see that come true. I love the world, I love the characters, and I think if you come into this with a deep love for The Female series this will be a nice short read for fun times, and giggles. There are darker topics, but I feel like Chevs (all of the characters honestly) understanding for Vanessa, and females alike makes it not feel very heavy to read while also letting you understand Vanessa’s trauma. I’m not personally triggered by the topics, but I just say this as a warning for future readers, make sure to check TW for the whole series. Anyways, AMAZING. Recently discovered this author through a tiktok she posted, and have read this entire series, and will now be moving on to another from her! Byeee, happy reading!

It used to be Gray with his pettiness nd sneaky pranking but Chev is just so pure nd wholesome nd sneaky in the funniest ways🤭i absolutely love him nd i love how triggering this book was for me. As someone whos had to do nd continues to do healing when it comes to intimacy i loved watching Vanessa grow into herself. Even if it did make me cry a lot lol. Thank you for this💚
