The cycle comes to an end as the long-anticipated Immortal War kicks off once again.

Powerful Immortals, living for eternity, have had centuries to millennia to build up their power, wary of their neighbors doing the same thing. When the first shot is fired, thousands of plans and doomsday weapons are unleashed, once again nearly scouring all life from the face of Pallos.

Elaine is having none of this nonsense.

Tossed from one crisis to another like a leaf in the wind, Elaine and the rest of the Eventide Eclipse are stretched to their limits, doing everything in their power to save lives.

But as the cataclysmic war tears Pallos apart, as ancient dragons descend to unleash their wrath, as pebbles going the speed of light descend upon cities, Elaine is faced with a terrible decision.

She can’t save everyone.

Who is she going to pick?

In our world when use of weapons of mass destruction are gamed out things escalate rapidly to mutually assured destruction. Use it or lose it seems to be the option. In this series high level classes are walking weapons of mass destruction. Grudges real and imagined, slights, landing the first blow or more troubling just wanting the next heaping of xp so one can ascend to godhood. Hell on those caught in ground zero or who are low level. Elaine and her crew have to decide who to save in a situation where there is know wright answer and logistics are an opponent who can’t be beaten. It is not all gloom however as after the dust settles she is in a position to begin the process of rebuilding. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here.

    Another amazing chapter.
On the whole, I absolutely love it!Now, it does feel a bit like a ‘middle’ book, the stage getting wiped clean and then reset. And I’m rather eager to see what comes next. But it’s still an awesome read that pulled me in, and had me finishing the book in less than seven hours.

Really like the pacing in this one.
It’s rare that a series makes it to 14 books and is still great but this one does.

    The shoe finally drops
Read this on patreon chapter by chapter and have reread it since. The show finally drops with the immortal war and even if I thought I was ready I was not. Great addition to my favorite series

A top tier piece of entertainment.
This book, Immortal War by Selkie Myth, is part of a series that deserves an incredible amount of praise. It’s in a relatively niche genre; one which is all to often overlooked. Truthfully, much of the content of the genre is amateurish at best. However, amongst the dross are several hidden gems. This series is such a gem. This particular book takes place during a particularly trying time both within the setting of the story, and within many of our real day to day lives. This book is a means of escape from those real life trying times, and a story of hope to bring back to real life. There are people out there fighting. You can only do what it is you know and are prepared for. Do it to the best of your ability. There’s no such thing as perfection, but even so you are capable enough. If you improve yourself, and help even one person, you are succeeding. These are all themes that can be found in this book. It’s both inspirational and reassuring.I absolutely recommend it, and consider it well worth the time; even multiple times as re-reading it is still worthwhile.

    Fun!
It is nice to see Elaine and crew continuing on. It’s cozy, it’s interesting. There’s not as much excitement these days, but that’s okay.

    Glorious return to form!
Unlike the last book that rushed through time to seemingly end the series, this book returns to a pace we know and love. Truly great stuff, with new challenges!

Culmination of a multi book build up
We’ve been teased about the immortal war and its consequences for a while now, and Selkie did not disappoint. Chaos and destruction abound and Elaine has to work very hard to keep up her oath with getting everyone killed in the process.

    The end and the beginning
We’ve heard of Immortal Wars for nearly half the series, and if anything, they were understated. It’s a side of immortality I’ve never seen explored before, and it makes for an absolutely fascinating read. The world will never be quite the same, but with enough work, they can rebuild something similar
