Classic Elegance Meets Modern Convenience
[...]This universal Kindle cover has the beautiful peacock illustration from Hugh Thomson’s cover design of Pride and Prejudice. There’s a quote from the novel’s heroine on the back and lovely artwork on the spine. It’s thick and plush and magnetic closer holds the Kindle firmly in place. Adhesives were provided to attach the Kindle to the cover, but my Kindle is new and I didn’t want to attach an adhesive to its back. I think the closure is secure enough to keep the Kindle from falling out but it does move about when I’m reading. It might be helpful to have another method to hold the Kindle in place, such as mounting corners.

A little disappointed
[...]I’m a bit disappointed by this Kindle cover. It is made well and the vegan leather feels nice. However, you have to Velcro your Kindle to it. I don’t want to put Velcro on my Kindle. I thought I would put a clear case on it and then put Velcro on the case, but it makes it too bulky. I’ll just put it in the clear case and not Velcro it in. It will stay in the Well Read case when closed.Things to know: It does not have a sleep function. Also, the cover is hunter green but for some reason it photographs black. I thought it was a black and gold case. However, I believe the original “Pride and Prejudice” cover is green and gold, so it makes sense that it is green. The gold isn’t as vibrant as it looks in the picture either. I still do like the art and the quote on the back.I think it’s one of those things that it’s just not what I’m looking for in a Kindle case. It is well made and I do think some people will love it, especially classic literature enthusiasts.If there was another way to attach it to my Kindle and an auto sleep function, it would be at least four stars.

[...]You’re supposed to put Velcro on your kindle and stick it in this case. I don’t like that at all but thought maybe I could put the Velcro on a clear case, NOPE. this case doesn’t close if my kindle is in a case. Do not like this at all

[...]The cover is slightly plush/spongey, but intricate and sturdy.It was extremely easy to install the kindle into the cover and came w/ extra adhesive pads if you happen to mess up or need to use one later down the line.

I wanted to love it, but…
[...]This kindle cover looks really cool and feels like it’s made of quality materials. But it’s also the kind that you have to attach velcro to – along with your kindle – which I hadn’t realized when I ordered it and is a dealbreaker for me. Even though I loved the idea of it looking like a Sherlock Holmes book. It also doesn’t have the auto wake feature, which is another dealbreaker for me. The strap that holds it closed also magnetizes to the back of the case instead of the front, which is less of an issue and more just kind of weird.

Book feel for you Kindle
[...]I will start with the things that I really like about this case. The illustration on the cover and back is gorgeous. The faux leather gives you a feel of a first edition book while allowing you to have your entire library at your fingertips. What I don’t like is the way you attach your reader. I HATE that they expect you to attach it with Velcro. While it allows for ease in and out of the cover the Velcro is permanent and using a case to keep your reader free causes a poor fit. With a bit of a redesign I would be in love with this reader case.
