Clear, descriptive, and engaging field guide!
This book is great for beginners (coming from one herself)! Everything is organized well and described in a way that is thorough, but still easy to understand. The newly improved images are great and help you visualize each process. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody interested in learning all about the components of water quality and life support. I will reference this book more times than I can count as my career continues!

Very Useful Book
This book was recommended for an aquarium class. Although I have been keeping aquariums for over 25 years, I found a lot of useful information in this book. It covers many topics that could only be found in multiple books and none of them at such an accessible level. The illustrations and pictures are helpful and high quality. The appendix contains many useful formulas, charts, and other references. It also has a couple of sample level 1 exams, one for water quality and one for life support operator.
