Things are never easy for Star and his friends. As soon as they leave Dolurn, the HollyTerror comes under attack. If they can’t handle the ambush, the ship’s crew and all of the supplies needs for the war effort to keep his people alive will be lost.

Their arrival in Myathlune doesn’t go any better. The corrupt city officials, nobles, and guards are not happy to deal with a Halfling Lordling with power. While he’s dealing with a city that hates him, he meets up with Gnager only to become targeted by more members of the Goon Squad Guild.

Unsurprisingly, their entrance into Delonshire ends up going much better. While his reputation clears the way, Star quickly learns that Miya is upset with him. Even though that’s nothing particularly new, this time, it could end up being a much bigger problem. If he doesn’t deal with the situation appropriately, there’s a high probability that the House of Kayden will completely lose their access to the town.

If you into MMORPG games then this series is a must read. Very nice description of how we gamers would like a Virtual mmorpg to be.You got bad PKs who love it to ruin games for casual players, nerds falling in love with virtual characters etc etc etc.The only downsides of this series are that the book already stops at 70% because 30% of it are lists of data , spells, characters etc which only hardcore role player will be reading and enjoying and that some storylines disappear for some books like the corporate espionage/ sabotage going on and wat happened to the admin Rani ..

This entry covers the last few side missions and drama before Star and his company return to the pass to face down the invasion. Plenty of action and usual player hijinks. A fun read all around. Someone needs to read Dom the riot act. It is interesting the changes in the player killer alliance, so many defeats had to have consequences and now that the contact for the person paying to have the game sabotaged is in wider circulation it is only a matter of time before the company has it and starts an investigation in the real world. A writer tick that jumps out is the use of a person’s descriptor instead of their name which would be shorter. The silver dire wolf girl for example instead of her name. I’m looking forward to the major siege arc in the next one.

The World is a fun adventure that keeps on coming
I love this series and this is a nice continuation. It’s a little hard to keep track of all the characters as there are a lot of them, but the author does a good job of bringing you up to speed on most of them. I’ll probably go back and read the whole thing in sequence sometime, that would be a blast, if a little time consuming, but well worth it. If you haven’t read the series do yourself a favor and start this from book 1.

I look forward to each release. So creative and unique. Deals with complex issues, but still has action and fun. Already waiting for the next one.

    awesome as always
I wish I didn’t have to wait so long for the next installment. Oh well, such is life. Maybe he’ll let me be an editor and I can read the next sooner

    Very good
Another solid installment in the series. The side stories were more concise and still added depth to the world nicely. Much less complaining about others/past relationships and more dealing with the present which made the story flow better.

    Fantastic!!!!
The story just keeps getting better and better. You feel for the chars and actually are invested in what’s happening. It’s also good that everyone is almost close to meeting up again. Can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.

    Good stuff
Still has 1/3 of the book dedicated to stats that haven’t changed in the previous five booksI really like the fact that progress was made throughout this book where the others seem to just jump from perspective to perspectiveBut I will comment that he completely missed the cut off for the NPC recruiter

    Great write for book 17!
Yes finally things are starting to get back to what is important. Startum being home and building his kingdom. I cannot wait for book 18. There was a lot of travel in this book but now the adventure really ramps up in the next book!

    Story good, some issues
A very good continuation of the story line. If you liked the other books you’ll enjoy this one. While there are some minor issues, MC being a bit preachy but it’s understandable with his background (just gets a bit tiring) and minor problems being self published.Still the story was very good and waiting on the next one.
