I was consumed by a twisted desire to watch the light drain from her eyes. But instead, it was my own soul that was devoured by the darkness within her gaze.

Ronan: This world was never meant for me—a shadowed figure wandering, fueled by carnal desires until I am destined for hell. And I embrace it wholeheartedly. But then she came into the picture after my successful hunt at a local coffee shop. She offered me a simple act of kindness, and in that moment, I was consumed by her. My obsession with Everly knows no bounds, and there is no escape. Her fate is to become one with me, bound by darkness and consumed by our twisted desires.

Everly: Choosing the safe, sensible path has always eluded me. I have a knack for finding trouble, and it seems like I’ve stumbled upon more than I can handle with Ronan. He’s undeniably attractive and thrilling, but he’s also dangerous and everything a mother would warn her daughter to stay away from. To make matters worse, he’s a serial killer who seems to have set his sights on making me his next victim. But here’s the thing—I’m drawn to him and the danger he represents. I want to play his game, to push him to his limits as he pushes me to mine, until we both are consumed by one another.

It’s depraved, it’s warped, it’s immoral.

But in this moment, running from the man who may end up being my killer, I’ve never felt more alive.

I LOVED this book ! Morally Dark MMC, the FMC is not really better and she have a mouth that have a tendency to put her in trouble. I ADORE violent FMC and this book didn’t disappoint. And what to say about the actors of the audiobook? 😍Bonus points, because the ending is SO satisfying !

Everlys kind gesture of a cuppa coffee leads her into the grasp of Ronan, This leads her down a path of chaos, murder, and, in the end, revenge.Ronan, whose past is that of what no one should have endured. “Mentioned but not in great detail.”He doesn’t understand why someone is so kind to him at first meeting he’s not used to it. He is instantly obsessed with her.

Beatitude by DJ Krimmer. From the moment I pressed play on this book, DJ’s words grabbed me by the throat!Ronan’s prologue, performed by Joe Arden had a multitude of distraught and dark emotions which had me totally hooked. Make sure to check the trigger warnings before diving in to this one.So much is packed into this intense story, and I felt there was a calmness in DJ’s writing even through the darkness!A thrilling performance by Marie Hawkins as Everly. Marie’s ability to portray Everly’s kindness, and her twisted desire is so good.Ronan’s depraved arrogance towards life I feel is both challenged and balanced by his meeting Everly. Are both these characters struggling with feelings of loneliness and unworthiness? Ronan and Everly are individuals who feel deeply, and are drawn together by their obsession to consume each other.“And I can vow to you right now, baby, I may be your damnation, but I too will be your salvation if you allow it.”Thank you DJ for taking us on this dark and twisted ride with Ronan and Everly.

This novella is dark, toxic with Morally Black characters and a list of TW longer than my grocery list. DJ Krimmer is such a good writer amd she didn’t disapoint. I’ve been hooked from the start.I received an ALC from Bluenose audio. Beatitude is performed in duet by Joe Arden and Mary Hawkins. Their performance is next level and it makes the story of Ronan and Everly even better! It had me in a chokehold and I just want to listen again! Please take the TW seriously, your mental health matter.

Was it dark, twisted and full of smut. Yes yes it was. Did I love it? Omg yes, favourite book of the year. I totally fell for the morally gray Ronan and Everly wasn’t what I expected at all, so much fire and darkness.

    Read Warnings
The story was good but too short for me. I liked it but I think what I liked more was the voice actors.

🤯 Wow love me some Ronan!!
I have to say, I loved it. Listened to the audio with Joe Arden narrating and he just makes books better. He does such an amazing job with the MMCs that he portrays whether it’s a psychopath or he’s using that dirty dirty language we all love. It was definitely twisted but Ronan and Everly were made for each other.I will say check your TW.

    Beautifully Morally Black Novella
Read/Listen if you vibe with:🔪Age Gap📿Joker x Harley🔪S3ri@l Unaliver x Would Be V!ct!m📿Possessive🔪Insta Lust📿Red Flags 🚩🔪Morally Black MMCProduced by: Bluenose AudioNarrators: Marie Hawkins and Joe Arden4⭐️🎧 5 ⭐️Fully embracing my pitch black era. Ronan has no redeeming qualities, but even the monsters need love. Maybe you can’t fix them but they can help make you feel things you never thought you could. 👀 Is it appropriate to laugh while reading about a morally black s3rial Unaliver? I don’t know but the banter between Ronan and Everly had me rolling.Joe and Marie really brought Ronan and Everly to life and made this audiobook phenomenal. Seriously, I’m not an audiobook girlie but something about listening to these voice actors together makes me want more.

I think I found my ROMAN EMPIRE !!!!!!!!
I came across this book on booktok and I am never the same after listening and reading this book. I love everything about this book. This is what I’m talking about when I said I love dark romance, totally unhinged characters good vibes off of the main character and the female character, hands-down, the best Morally dark gray just reading and listening with the audio and it came alive. I loved it. Over the top delicious top notch. I recommend this book if you are really to think outside the box and check your triggers. I love this book so good again. I think I found my roman empire.

It had a lot more potential
While I thoroughly enjoyed the premise of this book, the execution was terrible. You can tell by how this was written, the author intended this to present as a dramatic cinematic, like the dark, edgy Hollywood movies. The opening of this book was all over the place. The plot is absent and this was very character driven which I kind of appreciated. The male character is unhinged, trying to emulate Joker vibes, but you can’t help but feel sorry for him as he lets you delve into the crevices of his mind. The MMC evolved for the better-in a sense, as he explored his duality between light and dark, accepting parts of himself that seemed foreign and could coexist. But the FMC went in the complete opposite direction. She was spineless and erratic. I liked him more than I liked her. This felt like a rough draft as there were some editing errors. I could count on one hand the parts of the book that were beautifully written, however everything else was mediocre and fell short. I disliked the writing style. It was very surface level and lacked depth. The author was also very repetitive and needs to expand on her vocabulary. “He smirked.” “She smirked.” “He furrowed his eyebrows.” “She furrowed her eyebrows.” Use a thesaurus. They exist. I enjoyed the psychological and philosophical undertones that were examined. But again, it was very surface level and I wish the author expanded more on them.Overall, this book is a quick read. Very cliche verbage and lack of sophistication. Very simple writing and predictable “plot.” It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great.

    Beautifully dark novella
This novella from D.J. Krimmer did not disappoint. Everly and Ronan are so good together, and so good at being bad together too. They definitely put the dark in dark romance. What I loved more than anything though, and is something that DJ Krimmer is so good at, is the writing style that draws you in and the banter that has you smiling even when there are depraved things going on. I don’t know how this author does it, but in this really short story there was an in depth backstory for both the characters, an intense romance plot, lots of spice, and a good conclusion. I honestly could have read another 300 pages with these two but the 127 pages I read were perfect.

    Quick Read
This is a quick read. It’s very fast paced and thankfully does not drag out unnecessarily.Read the trigger warnings before committing as there’s some morally grey content.I personally enjoyed it quite a lot. I gave 4 stars as I do wish it was slightly longer.

Beautifully Dark 🖤 left me wanting more!
Beatitude is a dark and depraved, yet fun novella that had me hooked from the first second. Make sure you check those TWs!Though this is a quick read/listen, DJ still managed to pack so much in and create characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with! Not sure what it says about me, but I loved every second of this book. Ronan and Everly are kind of everything and I wasn’t ready for it to be over! This duet performance by Marie Hawkins and Joe Arden was absolute perfection! This was my first time listening to Marie but it certainly won’t be my last! Marie IS Everly. She showcased her talent and brought Everly to life in a way that I doubt anyone else could have. And Ronan?! No one can do unhinged and depraved quite like Joe Arden. He makes you FEEL every emotion that Ronan goes through, whether it’s a flashback or in the moment. Between the darkness and the slight accent, I was done for! These two were the quintessential choices to perform these characters and their darkness. I hope to hear so much more from the two of these spectacular voice actors in the future 🖤
