Sturdy but not really adjustable.
[...]The first thing is that the product was a bit annoying to setup. I would start with the bottom panel first before doing anything else because this product needs a bit of stability to screw in the 4 bottom screws. Another thing is that you cannot really move it left or right. There is a slot you can use to run a wire through but you will need to a longer cable than what is provided by apple with your tablet. I would say you need something longer than 10 feet unless you are really close to the plug. I would say you need to run the cable through as you build the stand as it is very difficult to run the cable through the entire stand after it is assembled. Not saying it is impossible but difficult. I don’t like how you cannot move it left or right and all you can do is up or down. In order to move it left or right you literally need to move the stand left or right. It is not too heavy but annoying. The lock itself can be a bit confusing. You just unlock and pull the lock back to release it and then adjust accordingly. I use the 12.9 ipad with it and even at the tightest setting it still feels loose. If you were to push it on the side it will eventually just come out. It is not extremely secure. There is holes on the bottom to secure the stand to a wire. The stand itself is pretty sturdy and it will not fall down very easily unless pushed. Overall I think this product is okay but it definitely needs a bit more functionality.

How public can I set this stand?
[...]Stands 45 inches tall (that’s 3 feet, 9 inches), and CTA’s Amazon webpage’s videos and photos correctly shows what this is—similar to a public kiosk, with the advantage that a tablet on CTA’s grasping bar can rotate many angles.An important question then is how secure is this public CTA-tablet-kiosk? CTA has a tablet-grasping bar with a key lock that locks the tablet. How else might the tablet be stolen? One way is by removing the tablet and grasping bar from the curved tube, but this requires special tools. Instead, using only common tools, a thief can quickly remove the tablet, grasping bar, and top curve tube, all held together as a set. But this all together set’s dimensions (using iPad Air2) is 16 x 7.5 x 8 inches—bulky. Thus CTA-tablet-kiosk is theft resistant primarily in situations where a thief can’t easily conceal-package a bulky item. For example, a thief with ordinary tools can quickly remove tablet, grasping bar, and curve tube as a set, but walking out with such a clumsy looking set is more difficult.The other weakness of this product is its tilt stability. Despite the product literature’s claim, I don’t believe the bottom plate is weighted down well. With an iPad Air 2 attached, a 20 degrees tilt causes the CTA-iPad to fall. CTA’s base plate has 2 slots for bolt-to-ground screws to prevent tilt and theft, but the instructions don’t explain how to use these well.As for telephone support, CTA doesn’t need much. But I wanted to buy an extra mid section tube for added height, and CTA hasn’t responded after 2 business days.Overall, this is a low-security product that isn’t tilt stable, unless ground bolted. A 3 star because its promotions material doesn’t describe its limitations as a kiosk well.
