Financial Basics for Kids
[...]I have learned a lot from Raman Keane’s financial books for adults, and this is a wonderful read for kids! Geared towards upper elementary schoolers, it takes kids on a whimsical journey that will hold their attention. The basics that adults may take for granted are introduced in an easy way – the difference between checking and savings accounts, why we use banks, what happens to money when we save it, etc. There are cute drawings in each chapter and little quizzes that help summarize the information for kids. There are also discussion type questions at the end of the chapters that provide a great way for adults to engage and extend the learning for kids. The final chapter is on giving back to the community and the importance of volunteering, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend for all parents and teachers to share with the young children in your life!
