This book is way cool
[...]I was very surprised at how easily my 9 year old daughter found this book. Coding taught in an easy to follow and understandable way almost like a game. The different elements such as algorithms, sequence and logic was done very well with many activities that build on one another to progress to more difficult elements – step-by-step guide. I can recommend this book for the age group!
Reading is fun –
Absolutely the best book! Truly enjoyable for adults and children.
[...]I bought this for my grandkids, and as we worked through it, we enjoyed all the exercises! Indeed, it is a fun and educational book!

Nice book.
[...]A nice book, but I would say it is also for younger kids. Maybe 5-9 if you help them a little to read instruction. But it has a nice concept a full of colors. Exercises are fun and develop thinking. I miss maybe some algorithms with words.

Concepts Before Coding
[...]“Coding Skills for Kids Ages 8-12” is not a coding book, but rather a critical thinking and logic book. Coding is built upon these skills. Without the underlying logic, code cannot be written. The puzzles and problems in this book may appeal to kids even younger than eight. The exercises will improve their approach to writing actual code, by helping them work out the logic first, before they write the first line of code. That is an efficient way to develop software. It is also a great way to solve many day-to-day problems and nurture your child’s disciplined thinking. Coding concepts and vocabulary are introduced, such as algorithms, sequences, loops, conditional if-then logic, debugging, problem decomposition, pattern recognition, data organization, sorting, grouping, and creative thinking. The solutions to all the puzzles are in the back of the book. If your child yearns to be a coder or just likes puzzles, this book is a great place to start.
