The Best Way to Apply Tire Protectant
[...]Applying tire shine is one of the most satisfying parts of detailing, but by far, also the messiest. I’ve been on the lookout for years for the right tool to help apply and spread tire shine, but also keep my hands, rims, and car clean.This is it folks. The handle is nice and firm, but also not a smooth surface that’s going to become slick if any tire shine gets on it (it’s dense foam.) The foam pad is textured, so it gets in all the grooves in the lettering on the side of the tire, and soaks up plenty of product so it doesn’t sling all over the place. It’s also larger than most tire shine applicators, so you can spread plenty of product in just a pass or two, without having to go over the tire again and again.My search is over, I love this applicator.If I had one recommendation, it would be to include a storage container. A small suggestion, and not enough to warrant taking off any stars (I just use a clear leftovers container.)Five out of five stars, no notes. Just buy it.

Great applicator
[...]My husband used this to shine his truck tires after he washes it, he uses some generic tire shine and then applied it using this tool, and it is real nice, makes it real easy for him, better than using a rag or a sponge, its nice to hold with the firm handle and the sponge/foam pad is textured so it applies the shine nice. I think it spreads well it does not soak in to the sponge, it makes it easier to get in to small grooves in the tire. We also have some electric bikes and we used this to shine those tires as well. Give it a try, it is nice to use, throw your old shine rag away.

[...]I used to have a similar tire shine applicator to this one, so when I saw it available on Amazon I was excited to try it out. The quality feels good for a foam applicator. Sometimes you do have to be a little rougher when applying tire shine, especially onto tires with a more aggressive or complex sidewall, and my previous applicator eventually fell apart due to this. I haven’t had any of those issues with this one. Overall it’s closer to average, but it’s easy to clean and the price is reasonable. Try it out.

Super easy and smooth
[...]I’ve tried one other tried shine applicator, the one that is concave like half moon and it wasn’t as easy as this. Not sure if that because of the larger tire wall size on my F150.This one was easy and just works and I didn’t need much of the tire shine, a little definitely want a long way. Honestly prob will just stick to this one moving forward.My wife said the concave style let her get closer to the ground at the ground side of the tire. I didn’t mind though, it was enough that not something someone would notice or just move the vehicle a foot if you really wanted to. But even with not doing that, this style was again just so easy to use.
